yeah, Roberta Williams should be there... King's Quest and all those Sierra Games she and her husband created are classics... Her games are a big influence to the "Adventure" genre....
where's World Of Warcraft? I wanna see how Blizzard makes it in the theaters. the in-game movies for Warcraft are astonishing but can they match in in the theaters?
FairPlay wasn't cracked.. this python script attaches to iTunes.exe..... reads the memory when you play a track and creates a dump for the AAC file...
its a very nice scripts... but again... nothing was cracked
I think that's true for 3rd world countries... heck in the Philippines, no one would buy a console if there were _NO_ pirated DVDs. Okay some might buy legit games but 90% of gamers buy pirated copies. No one in their right mind would spend $45 for a DVD game. $45 dollar in the Philippines is BIG money. If there were no accessible pirated games in the Philippines, no one would buy those consoles maybe except for the truly rich kids which is less than 1% of the population. So yeah, for 3rd world countries, i do believe piracy helps more than hurt. I know it sucks but that's the truth:D
What's with open source and accidents?
one of the PearPC developer - died in a train accident
one Apache guy died in an accident (can't remember what)
now this......:(
WTH is a "international bug" ? didn't know software bugs had different races
Anyways, how do you hide a "international bug" when its open source? declare your variables in different languages? It's like obfuscating the code on the source level.
Exactly, i live in a 3rd world country... and for us to buy original software would mean we shouldn't touch our salary for the whole month. While people in 1st world country can easily purchase orig software since it would only take a day's salary to buy one.
10% are MySpace profile... i kid, i kid.
