    Rural electrification program money is all taken by rent seekers anyhow. Any new rural wiring is at fully loaded, union worker scale. 10k$us/pole when I last checked, 15 years ago.

    Even there, it's still not thousands of moving parts in the engine and drivetrain. Especially with a timing belt. A true roller bearing timing chain will double the parts count of a motor. But you're still talking a few hundred parts.

    The engine computer will have about as many parts as your average motor, the stereo/entertainment system will have many more. Electronics dominate parts count.

    That pig fuck is still costing us 1.5 billion$/year. There basically are no more 40 acre family farms left, much less ones that needed subsidised electricity. It's a case study in rent seeking.

    Worse, if you need power in BFE, you pay fully loaded costs. $10k/pole last I did the research (NCal, Sierra Nevada foothills, about 2000).

    Not an argument for something. Rather the opposite.

    They found most of the really damaging, deleted non-personal emails in the inboxes of the people she sent them to. Including the one where she directs her staff to commit a felony (remove classification markings and send).

    _Every one_ of Madoff's investors knew he was a criminal, they just thought he was 'their criminal' and would ultimately take the insider trading hit for them. Had they know an investigation was ongoing, they would have worried about the loss of future earnings.

    I downloaded the Madoff chump list. You never know when a list of dishonest, greedy investors will come in handy.
