  1. I know the ending on Battlestar Galactica's Last Days · · Score: 2, Funny

Battlestar clearly parallels events in today's society. The cylons will elect Simon to be their new leader and Cavil will retire/get boxed while the rest of the cylons sing "na na na na"

  2. Better actors on Keanu Reeves To Star In Cowboy Bebop · · Score: 5, Insightful

Spike: Adrian Brody or Adam Brody
    Jet: Clancy Brown
    Don't know about the others

but yes, they definitely need The Seatbelts/Yoko Kanno. Bebop isn't bebop without the music.

But RDM clearly had no idea of where he wanted to go with this show.

Disagree. I wish I had as clear as window into his mind as you do.
I don't believe any episode in Season 3 was bad. The boxing episode, the day in the life, the sagittaron sickness storyline; those all served to tell a bit of the story, and look into characters lives. Regarding RDM stating that he made those people into Cylons halfway through season 3, I think that was totally acceptable. When making a show that spans multiple seasons, you have to make allowances for the unexpected. What if a crucial cast member got in a car wreck or died? If it was decided a long time ago that this cast member was supposed to be a final five and they built a lot of storyline around him/her, they would be completely screwed, and there would be no end to the bitching. Other factors come into play as well that make those types of decisions perfectly acceptable. Since your tv watching is on such a higher plane than us BSG fans, what may I ask do you watch?

Simple test to see if this should be used exclusively. Let it rank the likes of Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, etc. If it ranks them highly, it obviously is broken. If it ranks them lowly, then we have a winner!

I went to work today. I guess I dont need to go for the rest of my life. I have all the money I need!

  9. Amazing, no obligatory BSOD RSOD Jokes on Microsoft Wants P2P Avalanche to Crush BitTorrent · · Score: 1

This is a first. I did a quick search and there were none of these jokes posted so far. Or maybe they were modded down. On a more serious note, I'm all about this if it works better. Bittorent is a good program/protocol/piece of software. If there is competition to make it better, then that's good. I like the idea of all file parts being of the same importance. It reminds me of what newsgroups used to do with par and par2 files. Is this the same thing?

  10. Source Code? Make it universal on DVD Decrypter Author Served With Take-Down Order · · Score: 3, Interesting

Probably not going to happen, but I hope that somehow, the source code can be leaked out, and made open source. If so, it would be very hard for big companies to go after it and shut it down. DVD Decrypter does have it's uses. Backups. yes, I know that everyone and their mom uses this excuse to justify things that might potentially be used for piracy, but come on? Ever made a copy of a CD because you didnt want the original to get scratched in that dodgy car stereo system? Also, how else are you going to protect your LOTR Extended edition from the grubby hands of friends that want to borrow it?

CNN ran this yesterday as well. Kinda sleazy, but hey, it's business, and hey have to make a profit as well. Also, I admit I'm one of those who doesnt really check out prices that well before I purchase online. I usually make sure that I cant get it cheaper in town, and if that's the case, the first lowest price online that I see (including shipping) is mine!

  13. Electrovaya on Laptops with the Longest Battery Life? · · Score: 4, Informative

Werent they the ones that touted the longest battery life? Of course, they specialize in Tablet PC's (which are pimp - get a motion m1400VA... so nice) Back to topic... yeah I think electrovaya had the longest claims (9 hours), and the longest life (7-8 hours that people have been getting) - Awperator

I agree. I didnt even hear about Tablets until 3 months ago. The press wasnt all that great for it. But I have learned enough about them to purchase one. I am $3000 down the hole (upgrades to the base model), and I am a poor college student! I do believe though that this will be a purchase that will be greatly beneficial.
