    Even the smaller airports in Sweden have internet terminals that range in price from free to the cost of a phonecall. It's quite nice when that plane you're waiting for is delayed.

    Their homepage is reacting slowly too, and I can hardly even get any of the images on it (and it's usually quite fast). A DoS attack doesn't sound to improbable. The question is what it's hitting? Since the DNS servers are almost totally down but the homepage only partially? Are they attacking both or is the fact that the homepage is slow only a side effect?

    Mmm..understood it was net, whereas mine where not, but someone earning something like that in sweden, would pay ~30% tax, so it would still be quite alot more. If you just newly came from the unis, you have lower taxes too. I only pay 18% when I'm working while still studying, and I have friends who've been down to 3%.

    You're serious about those prices? I mean Swedes don't earn that much, but a new tech worker at least get 1800-2000$ / month. Do you even survive at 800$? That's a lot less than you get in welfare here...heck my summer job was twice that.

    I think France is a rather extreme choice, mostly because of the language. The french really _is_ picky about that. I on other hand can only speak for Sweden, where you'd have no problem finding a computer related job. Additionally noone under 40 raises an eyebrowse if you speak English instead of swedish. We're a wee bit to anglofied in our language.

    Assuming you mean Extreme Programming with XP, I can tell you that we learn it along with more normal developer methods right now, in my second year in CS. We're reading it in a class called OMD (Objekt Modellerad Design (Object Model design or something, I'm swedish ;))). So it's perhaps not a biased as you think, at least not the swedish Unis.

    Ehm..don't read the newspapers alot? =) A lot of "kronofogdar" (taxmen) are attacked by angry people. Though of course, if it comes to a visit by a kronofogde, you've gone pretty far already.

    Is Netherlands as nice as I picture it? =) I live in Sweden, which I love, but if I had to move somewhere, it would be the netherlands. You guys seem to be a bit like us, you even speak swedish with some german thrown in for good measure ;).
    But the question basically is, do you have sensible laws and such? Sometimes I feel Sweden is the last bastion of sanity, but with some luck we're not alone. (And no, Sweden is far from perfect.)

    You're not a skier are you? =) If I read your paragraph in falling into a horizontal position correct, you think the boots should be able to rise the person by being able to support the persons weight?     He doesn't need to prove causation. It's enough he shows that the violence hasn't RISED during this time. Especially since it such a notable drop, you can be quite sure, that at least the games causes no bigger effect on violence, becuase then the drop wouldn't have existed as is thus.
