Actually Bungie has invited us to join them at their E3 fanfest this year and they have asked us to make a special episode just for the fanfest. You may say it's a shame for us to capitalize on Bungie's idea, but they love it and we are in regular contact with them.
I love internet...I love Alamo Drafthouse...I don't know if I love the two put together. As an avid moviegoer and lover of the Alamo Drafthouse, I really am conflicted as to whether this is a good thing or not. The last thing I need is Mr. "Noisy Typist" and Ms. "I Refuse to Mute My Laptop" sitting next to me.
I don't think this is true. The site linked in the article here now states "A call from an Microsoft employee also came in. The Japanese X-Box joypad should work with USA consoles." Just a heads up. Make sure you read the stories before you get too fired up here.
I had the displeasure of using one of these units (I forget who made it, but the heads had FreeSpace written on their sides in blue letters) for nearly a year with the company I work for in downtown Austin. The first six months of using the system were just perfect and I loved the units, but as time wore on we started running into problems with them. Eventually it became a running joke in the IT department ("Why can't I ping the Exchange server? Must be the laser!"). I was constantly on the roof of our building having to manually aim the laser heads so they would realign. This system would work great as a backup unit for conventional fiber or a point to point circuit, but don't have enterprise critical servers sitting at one end of these things and think that the lasers will give everyone flawless connectivity for any drawn out time frame.
I've been debating doing this for a long time, but this article has finally set me over the edge. I am now officially filtering all Jon Katz posts. I never want to see anything this moron writes ever again. And no, I'm not posting this anonymously because I'm proud of the fact I will no longer have to read drivel like this.
Okay, I normally hate reading the posts where someone suggests something totally different from the question being asked, but here I go doing it. Why not configure an 802.11b network for the house? Seems like it would ease the pain of running cable and you wouldn't have to worry about all these other things that have been posted in this thread (like getting a building inspector to sign off on your work). I'm not trying to be a smart ass, just trying to make sure that all options were considered.
Without making inflammatory remarks I will admit that I was wrong and that there were some posts regarding it. Plus I'm not afraid and don't hide behind the shield of posting as an AC. To show how wrong I think I was, I will now mod down my own comment.
It's about time this happens. With constant yield problems due to an unreliable fab process this has been delayed way too long. AppleInsider.com has an article about this from October. In any case one has to wonder what Apple's product strategy with these things will be. Are they trying to make a push into the high end server market?

Video capture card, Adobe Premiere, and a lot of patience.

Gamer's take on Apple switch campaign.
So is his uptime screwed now that the site has been slashdotted?

I use it for a few websites I run.

Honestly, this phrase needs to die a quick, quiet death. Please help me by refusing to use this phrase. That is all.

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. the newspost clearly states that pads will work on both sides of the "pond". Start flaming away.

You don't need a subscription for ReplayTV. Granted it is a bit more expensive, but I love that box!

So everyone complains that the iPod is overpriced at $399 but this Rio product is "priced competitively" at $399? This just blows my mind.

I use it in Windows and it also works well in Linux using Wine (www.winehq.com). By far my favorite newsreader.

Empire Strikes Back was better than New Hope.

Amen. I would've attended the Austin protest (a mere 4 blocks from where I was sitting when it was going on) had I know it was happening!
