    We should start developing contingency plans to thwart a potential internet blackout.
    International dial-up, data feeds over the airways, carrier pigeon...whatever.
    Why are they asking for this if they don't have some kind of plan in store. Terrorism 2.0 perhaps, as the fear of conventional terrorism has faded quite a bit since 2001.

    Perhaps the atheism gene is more prolific than anyone ever expected.

    Perhaps their demonstration would be more impressive if they focused on actually generating a passable pre-rendered video first.

    I've since switched to GIMP but I did run Photoshop under wine perfectly for many years.
    For Windows apps that you absolutely can't live without and aren't supported in wine, there are always VM apps.
    I used to run Windows 2000 in qemu until I finally decided to cut the cord completely.

    Yea, Dolphin sucks big time. I'm running KDE 4.0 and I still have Konqueror, it's just not the default file manager out of the box.

    Personally, I'd like to see a Tor .onion site setup for anonymous leaking. I suspect once something major is leaked, western governments will start blacklisting these sites.

    To keep LibreOffice installed concurrently with OpenOffice, run the included open-libre-together.sh script saved in the /usr/doc/libreoffice-(version)/ directory to patch the .desktop menu files.

    For me it's all about the game play. Sure, graphics are nice and all but not the driving factor. I myself have more fun playing online scrabble, fantastic contraption, or MAME than anything else.

    I agree. Unfortunately javascript, Flash, Silverlight, etc... can easily be leveraged to compromise your anonymity via Tor. So unless you,re content viewing HTML only content, Tor is all but worthless.
