  1. Wii straps breaking, happened to me on Nintendo To Replace Wiimote Wrist Straps · · Score: 2, Interesting

I was one of the people that had a wrist strap break. The remote also went through my 52 inch rear projection tv. My friend was the one that sent the controller flying. We were playing the wii sports baseball homerun derby game. The object of this game is to swing as hard as you can, to get the furthest possible home runs. Personally I think that the wrist straps were extremly poorly designed, and that were were not using the system outside of its normal use. Now I do not expect Nintendo to reimburse me for what some will see as horseplay, but I do imagine that a class action suit will be coming about.

If you have actually held the controller and looked at the straps, it is obvious they were made this way as a cost cutting measure. The one hope I have is that in the future they will do things right the first time.

Why not instead make this only enforceable during wartime? The government would have to pay to access the streams so providers don't lose out, and the guys with mapping projects could still get their lower resolution images.

I personally bought my PS2 because of compatibility with old ps games. Think of how many parents/purchasers are going to look at the wasted old titles and then see the PlayStation 3 and its 1000+ game library. As cool as the new Xbox will be, I'll wait for the PS3 as well, and show Microsoft how I vote with my wallet.

Why does every organization created with a specific purpose have to have its finger in EVERY single issue. The UN I had hoped would be above corporations and actually stand to make the world a bit more UNified.
