If google is going to make money from it, they should also be doing it responsibly. I bet you can't get a sponsored link to child porn. The official policy is no porn at all...and a few other things are not allowed either. It looks as if they have an ethical stance, they just need to enforce it.
Except the visual voicemail feature is only on the cingular network. I am sure the regular old way would work still. It must otherwise no voicemail when roaming....
Well for one, as many people have mentioned, the electricity costs of having your PS3 running non-stop. In addition, the wear and tear on your PS3! If you are gonna spend $600 on a PS3, you are gonna want it to work for a long time. Many people leave their computers on 24/7, but I doubt console systems are designed to. Plus my computer stops spinning the HDs.
Slashdot shouldn't encourage this guy to flame Maxtor (no pun intended). Hardware manufacturers aren't perfect, once in a while there are defects. I've have plenty of hardware that for no good reason burns out. Do I get all pissy and make a website dedicated to it? No, that is what warranties are for! Sure this seems a little more serious than hardware failure, 3 inch flames are scary. But one can't compare one isolated incident to Dell's battery recall. Dell recalled the batteries because it is more than likely going to happen to many more. By comparing these cases the author could cause people to stay away from maxtor drives for no could reason.
Yes I applaud firefox in not bloating up their browser too much and having a great plugin interface. I think they should convert as many of their features as possible to extensions and then include them by default. Then Users can truely have full control over their setup. There are firefox features I don't really use and I could save memory disabling them. Having a few versions (with different default extensions) is a great idea too.
I used to work at a computer store and built my self a top of the line computer 2 years ago. It runs fine, I don't need to upgrade. The only software that is pushing the limits of computers these days are games.
Maybe I don't understand the licensing correctly, but the problem is that hardcore linux users don't want proprietary drivers bundled with their OS, correct? My question is, is it illegal to make proprietary drivers? I don't believe it is, so why not just download them if you are comfortable using them. Windows comes with some crappy generic nVidia drivers, but the first thing I do is go download the latest one from nVidia's site.
so it's IETab and an ActiveX plugin all rolled up together....
I lost my security diamond and cannot turn on my laptop, can I order a replacement?
I assume the diamond is a security feature by being expensive and unique to the laptop. Imagine the cost for replacing that!
Netflix's new "Watch Now" feature only works on IE 6 and above.
Finally a good use for the Wii Browser (and other similar console internet browsers)
I believe he was quoting Talladega Nights.... I got ya Viper

I like Yahgoosoft
Yes, but Windows Vista will take advantage of it...ducks
And every couple minutes a dialog box will pop up forcing you to resubmit the EULA to verify that the current user has OKed the EULA
at least that is what MS says..... yeah for forced OS updating!
Ya, except a slot DVD player, like most cars and ALL Mac Minis. Microsoft must be behind this...
...can I have the other one?
Just use DVDShrink :-)

Is T-Rex Kosher?

Kids cry all the time when their parents won't buy them the newest popular game!

They are working with Google using their global fiber optic network!
