  1. as MnM says....CRIMINAL! on Microsoft Asks Fed For Bailout · · Score: 1

MFG, I have heard it all now, there is no real product being created here after the initial creation. Office 2007 once developed, stays as being developed....unlike a car which after you build one and sell one you have to build another...using up materials. Software you click and copy...and burn...
seriously, I hope Obama laughs in their faces!!!

It's not enough that they already steal our money with crap products, but now they want a hand too?
I have lost all respect for M$, I am switching to Linux ASAP, and guess what, you know Linux won't be asking for any sort of bail out.

Thanks M$ for putting us even deeper in the hole, purely because you think you should get a cut of the pie, and not because you have earned it, or really need it.

You would have to be a uber geek to really appreciate the april fools joke here, but there are much better ones out there..... I once recieved a letter from the government (which had been copied from a real one and somehow the person(s) involved had been able to get my ssn no, and made it more real, and went and mailed me the letter by registered mail to be delivered on the first.

I owed the government 100,000 dollars in back taxes.....!
After having packed a few protein bars and my clothes in a few suitcases and trying to land a ticket on my way to Jamaica, I stopped and fell on my calendar on the way out from my small apartment.
I had a hunch, but a very small one (actually it was more like a glimmer of hope at that time) and thought what if.... I called my closest buddy, and heard him crying with laughter on the other end.

Thank god...of course not everyone would react how I did....some would be reaching for their shotguns.

Leave it to those stupid f*cks to stick their noses where it does not belong.
I hate them with a passion, as I know many others do, but they do not leave in cramped quarters, and have to go from one side of the space station to another, so what if all of a sudden montesuma's revenge pops up, are they going to enforce those rules and allow the guy to crap his pants....come on...our tax payer dollars at work here.

If ever there was a reason to put someone in a gas chamber, this would be it.
I really hope those politicians responsible for this situation on the space station are reading this (yeah, like they would ever read anything that does not have their signature or name on it.....)
STOP SCREWING WITH THINGS, WE DON'T NEED YOUR 1million and 1 RULES HERE.

  9. They should be big boys on NASA In Colbert Conundrum Over Space Station · · Score: 1

They should be big boys about this, and realize their error, and own up to it. They did not realize how popularity played in this contest, thinking only of the uber geeks out there, and forgot about the fan geeks. An opportunity was presented and someone took it, and even though that person does not have any real interaction in the science or space community, we should honor them by playing by the rules set and winning. All is fair...remember that NASA!

  10. Yes and No on Shouldn't Every Developer Understand English? · · Score: 1

    I agree and I disagree,
I agree for the simple reason that english being the spoken language of business worldwide,
is also the main language most language syntax is based on, and having learned programming, and to now relearn a syntax based on vb.net in french because some dork wanted to have THEIR version
of vb.net in their own language makes me cringe.

As for being able to recruit so many more potential developers, is an advantage, but seriously, how often does in house programming get shared amongst multiple languages or countries....maybe google, M$ or even java/sun, aside from that, it usually stays in the same country it is in.

This is where I disagree, unless you are a developer with unique skills, that needs to to travel from contract to contract and usually ends up from 1 country to another, I would say this is not necessarily true, you should be able to redo comments in the appropriate language where the code resides, if you cant, you should leave it to the end, and get the comments translated as well as the function/method and variable naming conventions....refactoring is great for that!!!

IBM is now 100% evil....no doubt about it, Google seems like the only other giant that hasn't followed in M$ footsteps. As if we can patent outsourcing, this will make every company that outsources seem like they are infringing on this patent.

Isn't there some sort of law that says if it is in general global use or being done already for many years by many people, you can not patent something....if not, I think I will patent wiping your ass after taking a dump and also wiping your nose after sneezing.
