  1. my 3 cents on German Police Raid Homes of Wikileaks.de Domain Owner · · Score: 1

First of all , i do not believe this story is what it says it is, first off, in today's age of technology and persecution, pedophiles have accepted encryption as a norm , of which any content distributed would not be out in the open as they would have you believe.

Also, hiding behind the premise of "we could show you, but that would incriminate you" is a scam to stem fear into those who would question such tactics. I for one know there is a small margin that is offered in such cases where R&D is needed for that field, and for developing new ways to track if not capture such "types".

Lastly, if we were to hear that the same website also posted personal data or email addresses of government officials or ambassadors to the sited nation, whether in error or not, and then decided not to retract the information posted after being asked nicely, would constitute a good indication of why this cover story is being used.

I would so love to hear the judge slap a big fine for them and set a precedent for this type of behavior. The teacher HAS to be smarter in today's world, we are dealing with problem kids with guns and drugs and sex earlier every year.

It all depends on the BIOS of the machine, which is not supposed to be able to be accessed while operation of the OS, some of the newer ones might, but early 2000 we saw some machines coming out with BIOS that was not reachable by the OS, only when you booted from disk, that was the only time you could do a firmware upgrade, I blame the community for pushing to have everything "easy"...is it not easier to be able to update the BOIS, from inside the OS... I say no, it is not a task you should be doing so easily anyways, flashing a BIOS is last measure, and updating the BIOS, (especially if you can easily brick a computer) is not something to be done often.

I always wondered why the grid had such a thing as load balancing feedback, which when the grid itself
has a sector that goes down, it kicks into overdrive by jumping on the next grids load. I understand being able to let people keep having power, but I think the thing with that is if (we have seen in the past 55 million without power) we were to have 1 or 2 failures that pushed over the limit of the next grid, the cascading effect takes place and wipes out the whole grid.

I prefer separating each sector but putting in a fail over backup generator like system that if a sector in the grid goes down, those 1000s of people are without power without risking the rest of the grid, and a backup kicks in supplying minimal power at peak or emergency times or sequence (maybe hospitals get fist dibs etc...), until the repairmen can come in and fix the problem.

Or even put a load balancing volume indicator, so that if the broken down sector comes unto another
sector's load, it can only take maximum xxx amount of power and nothing more...
