School system now sucks, if this will help bring better students out of it, i suggest we move this to a vote, and just force the school systems to adopt this new method of teaching, it would be great for our kids and the future of our country!
How about we just say no....that way we save 700 billion dollars over 10 years, and force not only the recycling of our weapons, but also maybe come back from our economic crisis and recover a bit of dignity as a nation being strict on development of nuclear arms...practice what we preach, right? I read some info on art of memory and the method of loci.....which are ways to help you remember things, of which was used back in the days of the early greek, where many historians and librarians, would have to remember full texts at a time, in order to propagate its content to other villages and cities in their travels..... when you consider the importance of this feat and its complex nature....which many volumes were memorized....is astounding.
Now when we consider most teens cant calculate worth a sh*t and sit there in front of a cash till looking blankly at the screen wondering how much to give back....waiting for them to figure it out is torture as they have lost the skills of calculations.....but now we seem to be heading down the same road with penmanship...(due to overuse of keyboards and not enough writing skills) , and now with retention of content due to its instant availability for when we ask it.
they have for the longest time never been up to date in choices because of the pricing they offered, now they seem to be getting more selections, and needing som e more money to get their library current, and no one seems to understand....if this is to replace movie going and rentals, they need to actually pay more to get more selection, a catch 22 if you will....but all in all i prefer torrent movies!
This is one of those situations that can turn ugly quickly....if they don't, and someone smuggles a bomb on a plane, they are thought of as being not strict enough, and risked people's lives...where as if they do, they are thought as too strict...maybe if they can come up with a different approach then a pat down, maybe like a lift your shirt for me....etc...???

In a serious type of criminal activity of this nature, trying to falsely incriminate the other person technically means YOU were the one obtaining the child p0rn, so YOU should face those charges you are trying to bring unto them....glad the courts saw this and acted accordingly....

The whole purpose is the 5th amendment...if someone is asked to voluntarily give up information that will incriminate themselves they have a right to refuse...plain and simple....or else you talk to their lawyers....and deal with them, same here should apply, if i own a laptop that has verbal recordings (example only here) of things i have done that can incriminate me, then is it not the same as obtaining illegal wire taps...unless the person tells you its ok to record them, or are told they are being recorded, it is the same thing here with the laptop, it contains information that was plunked there BEFORE any knowledge it might get used against that person, therefor should not be forced by that person to give up any access what so ever....
it kills me that cyber or virtual presence is being treated differently then actual physical presence on some cases, but not on others.... if there is an email in the white house that is purged, it is considered treason as it is an accepted means of communication legally that could have information important to the white house...and legally must be kept/backed up....there are legal repercussions if you lose them...that means they are legally equivalent to someone's legal binding word. If you lie under oath, then you can be charged...because your word is recognized as a legal means of communicating information that has to be accepted as truth.... if we differentiate between virtual and physical, there will be abuse of the system on all points by the government as it sees fit.
There needs to be a set protocol that assumes if you have a diary (written word) that can be used against you in court, or can be dismissed for being illegally obtained, then the same thing is evident for such things as encrypted information. If you force me to give you access, then it was obtained illegally...and because the warrant might be obtained to search your virtual documents with dates starting as of the date the warrant was issued....any files created before should not fall under that same warrant....this is the differentiating factor we need to apply between physical and virtual information....as the legal wiretap would get you conversations starting from that date, and not before, so any encrypted files would not be allowed under that warrant, based on its date (which is part of the encryption info for any real encryption software...)

Isnt this the whole premise of that movie, that we will be able to predict a criminal act before it happens...and while we are there and about to witness, it we can stop it from happening (murder etc...) so the charge only becomes attempted murder and not murder...so technically, the whole system will be defunk as now you can not intervene if you want the full complete act and associated punishment, or a lesser crime as you did not want to allow said act from happening but still wanted to "nab" the criminal in the process.

Why would any military allow the use of such things for communications, is it not protocol to have secure lines of comm. no matter what the means or reason for it. You never know who is listening, so you have to ensure your line is safe....you can't do that with a company the likes of google that say all you emails belong to them.because you use their services.... come one...common sense 101 here...
