You need to learn your google hacking syntax so as not to include blog types in your search. doing something like "site:msdn.com vb.net " would limit all your searches to vb.net for only the msdn website. There are many keywords that can be used of which you can apply the not operator "-" the minus sign...so as to say inurl:-blog although it is not an exact science, you can refine the searches too....you just have to be creative...

In the end....not much can be done against rootkits, as they know how to run obscurely but what does help is running in a VM environment, usually just for web surfing. After many years , I have 2 means to recover anything , anytime. I use VM (although some VM viruses do exist) to surf the web, and each restart of the computer is with a previous snapshot completely free of infection....this is usually also for anything to do with key logging, so as to avoid banking data to be syphoned....so even if you get keyloggers or activex crap installed, next time you reboot your VM, you start fresh again. The second is for my gaming pcs.... they have no choice but to be on the actual machine (as VM does not tie in well with graphic cards) I have backups of my main c drive as an actual copy and paste should i need it....and then all i have to do once every 3 months is rebuild the MBR...need to or not....
With this, I have run without AV software for about 10 years now, and very rarely will i get viruses, although I see it does still happen....

It does not take a genius to know that if you do away with the penny, you now have given in to the push on inflation to raise prices on everything. Yes, if you get rid of the penny, you just made the nickel the new penny, and now everyone will be basing pricing accordingly, instead of 1 or 2 cent hikes, you will have 5 and 10 cent hikes. Can no one understand the problem with this, it is the same issue as when you are using yen. If you knew that the yen was going to be where it is now, would you not have just stopped getting rid of smaller denominations and maybe just worked harder at keeping the dollar at par. I can get 412 yen for 5$, so for a big mac it costs me 412 japanese bucks....why not just do away with all the smaller denominations and keep the buck = buck....because not all countries are equal and we use the differences to adjust our own system....so if we do away with our pennies, giving in to the temptation of making it look easier on ourselves....it will actually make it harder for our country to stay where it is on the global market.

I agree with you, unless this comes from statistics Canada, how would we know the validity of the claim. who is doing the research and what means are they using to come up with this, are they going to every household and asking them "have you stopped using facebook this month?"
I think it is more someone like M$ that is paying off some guy or company to write up these silly stories, and then trying to buy in on them at a lesser stock price...or trying to bring down their stock value... pathetic if you ask me...but i would believe it.
I agree in taking a stand against rampant piracy such as in china where they know everything off....but i do not think this is what they meant, i think they were hoping to actually get the big companies, and not some lone users/small time chimps
