I, for one, welcome our free textbook overlords....I wouldn't mind so much if the textbooks I needed were eBooks, so I could pirate them... but alas, they never are.
This was marked as funny, but is actually at the root of the issue.
I work in the guitar industry, and people don't realize that Gibson is a shell of its former self. The company is so absolutely in debt, and they don't know what to do about it. Gibson is run by really old guys who are driving the company into the ground. They don't have any business sense, and by the time they die, it will be too late. Their dealership demands are SO high that if you aren't Guitar Center or an equivalent you can't afford to carry Gibson... UNLESS you blow them out for just above cost so you have enough money to be their slave again next year. Of course, this devalues the entire brand. The elderly ownership at Gibson says "hey, were losing money, let's raise prices and make dealers buy more shit." It's not coincidence that Gibsons are over-priced.
Gibson will soon be bought-out (probably by Guitar Center (Music Wal-Mart)) and become a Guitar Center brand. It's a sad way to see the company go.
Look at being a guide as something you do for a couple hours at night before you go to bed instead of a job. You can make a few hundred dollars a month just being on the computer doing what you normally would otherwise.
I would say BIAS alert, since my mother was a lawyer responsible for the startup of ChaCha and she actually showed it to me when it was in venture capital mode and you needed a password to access it... but I guess my statement really has nothing to do with any of that.
I must be one of the 5 people on earth who run Vista (Business Edition) and can count the problems I've had on one hand.
1. Netgear discontinued my network adaptor less than a year after release and won't make Vista drivers (XP drivers work 90%... and this is Netgear's fault, not MS).
2. Add/Remove Programs was renamed. I look for it every time.
3. UAC had to be turned off for me to keep my sanity.
Granted, every single component on my PC is less than 3 months old (my GeForce 8800GTS is the oldest part), but I'm sorry, I won't be going back to XP.
...and it's unfortunate that it has become the standard.
I've been with hard drive MP3 players since the Creative NOMAD Jukebox1... I wish Creative had known how to do what Apple did. I like Creative MP3 players much more. I still use my NOMAD Jukebox3.
Apple rapes you on accessories. My mom just got an iPod, and she had to get a docking station, better headphones, a leather case, an adaptor so she can charge and sync at the same time (ridiculous), car charger, FM transmitter, remote, etc... You spend more on accessories than on the actual iPod.
DEATH to non-user-replaceable batteries!
Ditto. I still use my Diamondback over two years later, and wouldn't give it up for any other mouse.

The article fails to mention that the five days locked in that room ended only because their mothers' posted their bail.

Am I the only one who said "Wait a minute, that band hasn't been around 10 years?" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_(band)

Hey, that's where I'm going... ...but I hate iPods, so I will stick with my Creative players.
