You are one of the people who will have to be held accountable when global warming really starts fucking people over. Please put your ID on your communications.
As the global warming evidence mounts, I hope we give a big F U to all of the bastards who were skeptical about the science... there has never been a controversy as the mechanism for global warming are about the most stable science there is. It is just basic IR spectroscopy that you have to study to learn why CO2 is heating the planet.
Hello Everybody! The science isn't controversial; the main mechanism for global warming has been known since 1935... it has to do with IR active modes of vibration in CO2 vs O2. Send me a message if you want more details or references. The public should go through the record and examine who has held up action on this and hold them accountable.
Hello Everybody! Anybody else have the problem of the keys popping off after very minimal use? My return key came off and I can put it back but its loose and doesn't work propely. -Andy
The excessive value of the dollar is feeding the trade imbalance, as you pointed out. A failing dollar will help American workers, though. The depressed currencies in Asia are fucking over American workers left and right.
I'm confused. Snort is probably pretty easy to build for an arbitrary system. I haven't compiled it myself for my system, but prebuilds exist for most distributions. Did they change snort's code in the commercial version or is it just a build for more common OS's?
consider a set of disjoint objects:= {solid, liquid, gas, plasma}. Because they are disjoint they must be unique. This precludes one "being" the other. I.e. a liquid and a gas are both fluids but a liquid is not a gas and a gas is not a liquid.
Also plasma is not a gas. The article points this out, but the title gets it mixed up. It is a 4th phase of matter associated with high conductivity and separation of ionic components
As the volume of recycled content goes up, the noise ratio will eventually be too much for anything too put up with. That's why I'm working on an automated web surfer so that this the recycled content can find some readership.
IANAL, but you are free to ignore any law that is plainly unconstitutional, per the constitution. If you are an officer of the law or military, you are free to ignore and protest against orders that clearly conflict with the constitution, again per the constitution. Courts are very sympathetic to citizens who are brought before them by the order of "unlawful laws" or unconstitutional laws. So don't worry too much.
There are some older antibiotics that kill almost anything, including possibly you. Doctors have almost forgotten about some of these because they should only be used as a very last resort. If you read something that says something about germs that are resistent to every antiobiotic then you know that it isn't accurate.
I'm comfortable with the number of fellow Linux users. Do we really need more Linux users? It might dilute control over the direction of the OS towards being more of a Windows clone. Linux already does just about everything I want it to, with the notable exception of really great prepacked data analysis like origin http:www.originlabs.com.
I think that they should use the origin labs program for feature ideas and whatnot. Linux needs a data visualization program like this. In the science community this is a final barrier for linux adoption. It is easy to write specialized programs for particular problems in linux, but for general data visualization and curve fitting there is no good alternative. The current spreadsheet programs are modeled after excel which is much more limited.
This reallly makes you wonder about what sort of product they really have left. It was a serious undertaking to use their hardware with any other operating system when they used power architecture. Apple lost their identity after they dumped the Power architecture. I say that because their product has become something that was always available, BSD on Intel... At least with the Power architecture the product was something that you couldn't piece together on your own. The only similar product would have been a power based machine with YellowDog Linux on it, in which case you would still have to buy the computer from Apple. Also you could buy a $20,000 RS6000 and put Linux on it to have a Power based "desktop" similar to the G5, but you wouldn't have many applications natively built on such a system.
When apple dumped IBM they basically tossed out what made them unique! Now you can build their product on your own by order a Dell and installing openBSD. You would have to live without ITunes but you could have open software clones of almost everything else that OSX has.
I'm not sure you are thinking about what it means to have a product that can be easily reproduced. You'll get innumerable knock offs. Apple will go out of business when somebody else makes the same thing for a third of the cost. Also, open software like BSD is pretty easy to use. Give it a shot sometime!

Go on the offensive! Ask them why the efficiency consultant still doesn't understand what they do here. Or you could point out that they should stick to making decisions in the area where they are experts.
Many comments fit researchers' prediction

Obesity Contagious?
·
· Score: 3, Informative
If you read just the blurb posted here, you'll see that the researchers say "it is easier to think of obesity as having something to do with willpower"[paraphrasing.] Most of the comments on this story seem to reflect this, and are just what the researchers predicted you'd say. The point is the idea that obesity might not be something that you control really is frightening to us.
I'd say the idea that PETA or Greenpeace has members prone to terrorism is 100% ridiculous. Labeling them as such is just another gimmick that the right can use to impose their fringe idealogy on the rest of us.
