It looks pretty! The font is big! The colors are simple! Tags! Who cares about the technology behind it! Web 2.0 is all about messy code with a nice interface!
Get a student, maybe from a college or even a local HS. Either find a teacher in the business/computer sci departments, or find some students and ask around.
Most will work for free, or cheaper than a pro, and (if you get the right kinda kid) you'll be much better off.
Oh, and make sure you ask the kid for stuff he (or she) has done... don't get a kid that has tried to 'hack' wordpress and says he knows php- ask for some previous works.
...because they haven't found a way to profit from it. When they do, it will be out of beta. That's half the reason why applications are in beta- they need to figure out how to get some money from them.
Google news can't just stick on some Google Ads, because they don't pay for any of the content or come up with anything, they just provide a means of getting information.
The real time protection is really good... for me, I was using firefox and visited a site, and it installed a spyware which AntiSpyware came up and- get this- actually ASKED ME what I wanted to do- it didn't go and make a decision for me!
Agreed- my aunt who just bought the new PS2 and games for her kids- both age 9- and didn't even know what "E" and "M" were.
There needs to be more than just putting letters on a box- parents need to be educated. Not every parent is going to read through a son or daughters gaming magazine or something... why not have the ESRB put info in magazines like Good Housekeeping or something?
I don't know how I feel about living near Philly... I think I should move into the middle...ack- but too much conservitism... can...not...stand....it..
don't know about windows update, except im 99.99%s sure thats an IE-ONLY thing. as fore site sluggishness, it's probably just a peak time when you were rbowsing, because my build is totally fine.

0.9 is One Tree Hill, 1.0b (b=beta) is going to be called Greenlane, and FINALLY, 1.0 FINAL will be code-named Phoenix. It has nothing to do with the branding of firefox.
And if your complaining about firefox, then shut up and start fixing it. Make a bug report- if there's not one already- and assign yourself to it and FIX IT. If you don't know how to code firefox then STOP COMPLAINING! Make a bugzilla report and paitently wait. This is all still a work in progress.
