I wish I could go to my employer to tell him my office is loud and to fix it, but the White House is so far away, and the President is usually a busy man...
I dont know if this is the case with the person asking, but where I work, I can't wear headphones, cant bring in a radio, cant have mp3's, cant stream anything to have tolerable background noise, though at least cellphones, pagers and such arent allowed in the building, which helps keep me less annoyed. Also, being the "scum" of the office, I cant get a better desk, and these damn 2650's are too loud (about 12 less than 20 ft away) They need to move my desk outside to the smoking area, where I can work in peace and be happy
Every bug out there that is "needed" is a necessary risk, or thats what he makes it sound like...
You have to figure out if the risk is greater than the time (money) it would take to fix the bug and the program associated with it... If theres less risk, leave it be... If the risk is too big, then fix it
Wouldnt a dehumidifier help get rid of the moisture in the air? Just throw one near the computer, make sure it stays empty... Not sure if that will work, but it probably couldnt hurt if your worried about moisture in the air...
I dont know why he doesnt release it, but the bastards only getting half my emails... I coulda sworn that program was supposed to send 10 million a day:(
On the other hand, I find stats detract fromt he game
It can detract from the game, but if someone wants to be the highest on kills or any other stat, that will make them work harder to achieve that stat, so it can be a plus and a minus on game play depending on what the person wants and how they go about getting it...
I know in Quake 1 me and my brothers always dominated on heat.net (I miss the good ol' days)... but there was about 3 people that we knew of that could just demolish us, which I only really enjoying playing people I couldnt beat, how else was I going to get better. I feel that you wont get better by running around destroying people that dont have a chance, you can only get better by playing someone with more skill, and learning how to beat them and applying that to your current skill level...
Theres a difference though between getting a high score, and earning a high score... if you repeatedly beat someone that doesnt have a chance, you have a high score but you didnt earn it... If you beat someone thats better than you, then you feel like you have achieved something, rather than having been given something... Might just be me tho:/
But then noone would be able to afford fast food, because the prices would sky rocket from all the people using it to run their cars... though there are some people that could drive forever and never have anything to worry about... Hell, I would wanna be fat if that was the case, no more gas stations:D
Well at least we landed on the moon...
I dont care what proof others have of it, IM NOT LISTENING!!!

The reason people dont bring in their X-Boxes is because they dont want them fixed, I know I would never take mine in if its broke...
In fact, I think mine might be broke, too scared to touch the thing, might eat me:/
"If you people had actually bothered to visit the page and read the text"
/. your not supposed to RTFA let alone investigate, just throw some generic babble out there and get +5 Interesting
Sorry, this is
"the good old US accounts for almost 42% of spam mails sent out this year, and they chalk it up to lack of security on most desktop computers."
So... that means 42% of the people on the internet from the US are using Windows... I thought it would have been more than that...
