It's Final fantasy this and Halo that, which basicly makes them seem all the more gimmicky.

On the other hand I used to know the most awesome sniper on Team fortress classic and we had some fantastic duels on (what was) my home server.

But seriously, who cares if someone has a penis or a vagina? You shut up and you play, that way everyones happy and men and women are on equal footing.

If the people say they want a witch hunt then you have to give the people a witch hunt. If you think democracy is some magic wand where everyone does right then you're wrong. It's an excuse for the masses to hunt the minorities while feeling they have the high ground and "doing the right thing".

Remember as people like you push in and "steal" all the PS3s from legit people, these legit people have to push infront of you. If they can't go in release day and get one they will go before release day.

Best buy can sell to anyone they like, they can even bar all 7 from the store if they wish.

They'd take food supplies and have a friend I suspect. People who finish for weeks at a time have little tents and mini stoves, they can cook things just fine (takes a while to heat up the pan though).

You could put your tent infront of them but you would be either blocking the door or get punched.. plus tents make no difference, if they arn't awake on launch day they arn't getting their PS3. Most will probably stay up just for when it opens.

I suspect you could be, but if you gave an excuse and the cop wasn't too much of a dick they would surely let you stay. For example "I'm waiting to get my little brother his christmas present", not many cops would arrest you.

Yes Best buy can, but would you kick out $4000? I don't think so.

It works because these people will be front of the line from like 6pm the day before release, the people in tents will respect the order but everyone else will be like "WTF, I was here first!" no matter what the tents do. Same way any queue works, it works because everyone agrees to the terms and joins in.

  22. Re:Good at war, bad at peace on Rumsfeld Stepping Down · · Score: 1

I think the thing you guys are forgetting is how you were acting. I know American soldiers are in a much more dangerous place compared to British troops but you should see the difference in how they act.

American soldiers basicly keep an arms length, they think everyones an enemy and act like it.

British soldiers are more exprienced in peace keeping and they realize people can be allies or enemies, so they give the kids sweets (sounds tiny, but it's something which builds a bridge in the community) and basicly try to blend in. While it may sound risky they also let kids try on their helmet and things like this. You become someone they want to see (even if they dislike why you're there), which makes them less likely to shoot you.

There is no reason the military can't rebuild a society, it just means you have to act like a person instead of a soldier. Which is something American troops seem to lack the ability to do as the moment. Maybe if the "Join the army, goto college, chick dig war heroes and guns" image was toned down a bit that might improve.

I think this is the last of Dells worries legal wise.

A couple of months back my father ordered a Dell PC with Windows XP pre installed, yet we didn't recieve an XP CD or any licence number as we should of done with a Windows licence. Yet a week later a man from Dell (with a very thick indian accent I could hardly follow to add to the fun) rang up trying to sell a "recovery pack" since "if stuff goes wrong it'll cost you less than to rebuy windows".

Is this even legal? I'm pretty sure it's not but may as well ask Slashdot before I look at legal advice on getting what was rightfully payed for.

Side note : I e-mailed Dell inquiring and recieved no reply (it's been a month, doubt I'll get one).
