    I had this long smackdown typed out, but then I decided to not proofread it and hope that you were trying to be funny (oh i hope someone mods this funny) My personal opinion on the usage of comments in code is as follows.

    My original comments come from pseudocode. Fill in from there as needed.
    This will usually result in just the right amount of comments as the pseudocode will be higher level ideas of what the code does.
    Anyone else use pseudocode for the basis of their comments?

    what's cool about firefox though is that i can go to the link that the parent provided and hold down CTRL and scroll my mouse wheel a tad to get the page at it's best.... if only i had a bigger monitor like those graphics design geeks!!!

    I took an AI class a few years ago and kris lang gives a pretty good explanation here...

    Our professor was more of a StarWars man and had us working on mutually assured destruction.

    I did get an A and enjoyed the class extremely, but I'll have to admit that where the research is going in AI is a pretty interesting road to travel.

    I wonder if we've got a machine that can play C&C Generals and win, a lot.

    and you can't look up my address because of a typo in the street name... google thinks it's michells drive (it's michelle!)

    anywho... i still like the interface better than other map people... esp. the feature that you can click and drag the map to navigate instead of clicking the nav arrows.

    I think that is becuase they are in beta, or because they will always be free.

    Someone who's RTFA might have already mentioned this,
    but IIRC these sub-$100 notebooks will be sold in mass quantities and
    only orders of 1 million or more will filled.
    So getting your hands on one of these cheap laptops will require some ebaying or something.

    Sure. But the whole sticking it in and turning it is so... 20th century.

    My next car will start at the push of a button only when my keychain with my transmitter on it is within the vehicle.

    and it will have the voice of kitt from that tv show...

    If you are the owner of one of these saab "keys" then I would like to inform you that your transmitter does have a key to it. It is inside the transmitter. Pull the top off and inside is a laser cut key to open the door if your battery in your transmitter dies.

    I have been a 'heavy' user...
    I have found firefox to be robust.
    xpi handling was a bit rough back at .8 and .9 but it's much better now
    1.0PR didn't have many problems in my view, but 1.0 is definitely better
    When I updated (clicked on the up arrow by the throbber) to 1.0 full/gold/whatever
    I have had the same profile since the 1.0PR and I have been very happy with the xpi handling (ie, the fox handled all my extensions just fine)
    It's crashed a couple times on me.

    You don't necessarily know that the usapatriot act has affected you because of the secrecy.
    Why is it that such a 'free' people cannot have transparency in government?

    The 'votes' that were 'casted' on the machines before polls opened were the ticker (like on an old car's mileage) to count the number of total votes that each machine had processed.

    colonization of mars does not seem possible because the body does not rotate on it's axis. latitude and longitude do not stay fixed with relation to the sun. how is this problem to be overcome when you must grow plants to sustain your existance?

    I grew up quaker, but haven't been to meeting in years.
    Once I understood the schizm between the programmed and unprogrammed worship (disclosure: my meeting was unprogrammed) I decided to worship alone.

    This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

    All that's beside the point.
    My main point being that there probably are some Friends/Quakers that don't vote, but I'd agree that it's a small fraction. What's the percentage of christians/catholics that don't vote?
    Isn't the low voter turnout the real issue?
    How can america claim democracy when about half don't vote?
    am I wrong here?

    If I only had mod points....

    Students have a choice to register and vote either at their school home or at their permanent home. It's shouldn't be hard at either place, if it is, this assignment will alert everyone to a problem in the system.
    IMO there probably isn't a problem in the system... just apathy among citizens.

    This is the exact point i got from RTFA.
    The students are not forced to vote, but the prof is encouraging voting by letting the students know that it will somehow affect their grade.
    TFA is short and at the end u get the idea that the prof's ulterior motive is to start a dialog on campus, not FORCE students to vote.

    I'd be more interested in the voter turnout for the campus vs last year's turnout...
