For those who can't wait to immerse themselves into the apocalyptic mixture of shooting and nudity, here's a manner to do a bit of that until the official release: http://www.boob-tube.eu/duke-nudem/
I'm a LastPass user and last night I was forced to change my master password. Initially I was a bit suspicious about the request, so I took all the measures to make sure it was a genuine request from LastPass.com. When I was sure it was a safe request, I changed my master password to something even stronger than it was.
I'm a paying user for their premium services, and in my opinion I must admit that their reaction to that casualty and possible data breach has been very open and reasonable. I would be very angry if instead they had an attitude like PSN. At least they took proactive countermeasures and are being honest to their customers, that attitude really deserves some kudos.
I'm really convinced that this guy have invoked the true malevolent power of voodoo forces to achieve such insane act - the word "Windows" in the title has no pertinence to my declaration.
I'm sure that such events would be less boring if the spearkes were nice and wise girls, using some sexy lingerie. And a good name for that would be Black Underwear !
From the users perspective, if they get used to the same applications they use in Windows, it's a matter of logical sense to switch to Linux, once it provides the same pratical benefits and, the best argument, it's open and free.
It's even more perceivable when users need to upgrade their current Windows version to a newer one: 'Why pay so much for an upgrade if I have the same kind of functionality and better support in Linux ?'. I've been hearing more and more this kind of argument from several colleagues.
Although I must agree that Skype is one of the best applications for PC-based VoIP communications currently, I felt really disappointed the last time I tried to use it in my home PC and it wouldn't load due to SoftIce (http://www.compuware.com/products/driverstudio/so ftice.htm) being installed on the same PC. The weirdest fact is that SoftIce wasn't even really running (perhaps it searches my filesystem for that). This paranoia makes no sense to me. I wonder what Skype have to hide inside...
There is no noticeable advantages if you only look from the IM client perspective, but if you take into account possibilites like: - Expand Jabber functionality to meet your specific needs; - Integrate Jabber with other messaging and communication platforms (VoIP is the first thing that comes to mind:-)); - It runs on almost any platform; - You don't need to do any reverse engineering to use it; - It is highly expansive;
you will notice that it *does have* advantages over other IM protocols, mainly if you care about interoperability.
1 - What is the main reason for CA moving to the Open Source model ? And how could this new model affect current CA's business model (i.e., expecting more revenue from professional services/consulting instead from product licenses) ?
2 - Does CA seek for moving other products to the Open Source model too ?
3 - From your perspective, what is your expectation for the future of the Open Source development model ?
Thanks,
What !? You mean that it's not a snoopy or notorious white rapper verb ? Damn, I'm so uncultured

That's pretty much the same as I think: teach them how to fish, but don't fish for them
Once I read that smoking could kill me, then I stopped smoking
Then I read that drinking alcohol is bad, so I stopped drinking
Then I read that too much sex could cause a heart stroke ... so I stop reading !
Blender 3D is a good alternative for the Linux users: http://www.blender3d.org/
