So, use sid, testing, experimentals, etc. The only thing that bugged me is mixing official ones and third parties. They make mess on dependencies. I don't want to use stable because they are SO old for desktop usage.:(
For me, I can go back to 3 kB/sec dial-up, get expensive and crappy satelite services, etc. No DSL (20K ft.), FIOS (even though available in my city, but not my neighborhood/hill), etc.
Agreed. I have speech and hearing impediments, and other disabilities so social interactions and moving around are difficult for me. Internet and BBS' made me more social with communications.
I like VMware Workstations a lot. VirtualBox isn't bad in Linux/Debian, but it has issues like:
1. Missing drag and drop between host and guest. 2. Unable to exit VirtualBox after pausing the guest session. 3. Windows key sometimes don't work or break keyboard navigation.
A CS professor, Dr. Thomas Plew (RIP) in the late 1990s/90s, said "software engineer" was a better title than programmer. I don't remember if he said software developer was good or bad.
I still wear CASIO Data Bank watches (150 model right now) since they are small and light. I am a small guy with thin wrists (like a kid). I looked at these PDA watches, but they're too big, heavy, battery lives are short, etc. It looks like Android has the same problem. Are there any fancy useful watches that are like the old CASIO Data Bank watches?
I just need a scheduler, times/clocks, basic calculator, alarms, etc. or do I have to keep buying and using CASIO Data Danks? And no I don't want to rely on cell/smart phones because I have multiple disabilities (hearing and speech impediments too so phones aren't useful to me -- Internet is!) and can't hold them correctly. I use my wrist as support to hold my watches so I can use them.:(
Ditto. How do we get rid of it? I couldn't find the options to remove it. :(

It wouldn't matter since people, like my female co-workers, would complain. :( See http://aqfl.net/node/5825 for the details and a poll.
Fine failures? Why would we want that? ;)

What about Spock and Lizard?
My friend likes to say no so I named him "The No Man". So all those questions would be answered "No". :P
ISP's what? :P
/. needs a up/down votes system for posted (queued) stories.
Here is what confuses me. Both http://www.weather.com/outlook/health/coldandflu/nationalreports/ and http://www.google.org/flutrends/us/#10139621013962 seem to show different results. What's up with that? Which one is accurate?
People are lazy to set them up and rely on others to provide the services.
If people want to use them, then have them encrypt their stuff BEFORE putting on them!

Q&A = Questions & Answers. :P
How did that easy mistake get through you? :P
I like Debian's net-install to get the latest packages since stable ISOs are usually outdated. :( Obviously, if you have fast Internet connection.

They should have temporarily timer to let you edit and show last edited date and time. :(
Nice typo (too), lowercased "i" pronouns, etc. You made them cry from your tests? :P
True, but that won't happen with me these days. ;)
That is why I only had an Atari 2600. Computers are so much better than video game consoles. :)
Oh well. I guess people don't buy these old IDE/PATA HDDs for their old PCs then. Did HDD companies stop making them? :(
I have two old, used PATA/IDE desktop HDDs that still work iin storage. I wonder if they will be worth a lot now/soon?
I am still using Windows XP Pro. SP3. :P

I know a lot of people who used it in my area. Blockbuster, Hollywood Videos, etc. are dead over here. :(
