    As lava comes up from the depths, the pressure on the lava is reduced. As that happens, dissolved gasses tend to come out of solution, so you get gas bubbles coming up with the lava. The observers are not seeing that here.

    Well, *my* PJB100 hooks up directly to my stereo, and in my car I use one of those tape adaptor thingies that works *surprisingly* well.

    So, rather than fiddling around with 800 CD's, I have a box smaller than a paperback with all my music on it.

    MP3 players are hardly "toys", unless you mean in the same sense that stereo equipment is a "toy".

    WASHINGTON - In response to a new rule requiring most Canadians to carry passports for entry into the U.S., Public Security Minister Anne McLellan said Americans may also have to carry the document to enter Canada.

    "Our system has really always worked on the basis of reciprocity," McLellan said outside the House of Commons.

    "And therefore we will review our requirements for American citizens and we're going to do that in collaboration with the United States.

    "There's no point in either of us going off in a direction without working together to determine how best we can facilitate the flow - a free flow - and movement of low-risk individuals."

    Because we *all* know that common words can't be used as trademarks! I mean, if that was allowed, then someone would do something really crazy, like name a computer company after something common, perhaps a fruit!

    Come on people, get with the program. Trademarks are for a specific field, all that is required is that the term not already have a well known meaning *in that field*.

    Until Excel (the spreadsheet) came along, the word 'excel' was not understood as the name of any particular piece of software. So, perfectly trademarkable.

    No reflective coating is *100%* reflective. Up the power enough, and whatever small fraction gets through will burn through the reflective coating, thereby allowing 100% of the beam to affect the object.

    Imagine that a 'mark' consists of a honkin' huge radio telescope dish. Different distances between dishes equates (I think!) to inferometry at different wavelengths.

    So, build a hundred dishes, or 13? (the smallest OGR over 100 has 13 marks, and measures 106).
