A metallic grid blocks radio waves and electric fields. They pretty much hit and spread along the outside. That's why large antennae on roofs often look like trees; they're essentially Faraday cages catching the broadcast TV signal
Can't you see??!! They're just going to connect the "shields" to the tag!!! They're building antennae into these things!! Run away! Flee while you can!
is that he created the Wikipedia with the belief that it would work due to people wanting to work together, then his position loses funding, Now he won't go back because of revert wars. Nice 'working together', people!
I wonder how useful the document on how to port Mozilla will be for porting in general?
I guess SkyOS might actually take off after all
Always sounded like it had some interesting concepts behind it!
If photoshop is supposed to be so intuitive, then why are there so many "Photoshop for Idiots" type books out there?
Granted, there would also be for GIMP if it was a better-known program, but I've spent some time in both. The UI's are vastly different, but for most things I actually learned them quicker in GIMP. I don't see what's so wonderful about Photoshop!
I'd expect this somewhere like China or Mexico, but how'd they figure they could get away with something like this in the US? Kinda funny, though. Trying to cash in like those atari control things, I guess.
My father (who's been deployed several times in the last couple years =/ ) sent me pics of the shuttle over a year ago.
He says it's in some sort of salvage yard, visible from the harbor. Sold for scrap when the USSR fell or some such.
So I'm not sure, but that's what I've been told.
Put together some old parts...P1, P2 kinda things....around 200Mhz or so. Add a hard disk (doesn't need any real large size), couple network cards, 64MB RAM or so....and a FreeBSD firewall with WebGUI. I'm running a firewall/router with a P3 500 one a 150W power supply, and it probably needs even less than that. Also using the wonderful m0n0wall http://m0n0.ch/wall distro with an awesome webgui!
I'm sure part of fuel economy depends on what the air is like where you're driving. Driving on a highway through Kansas fields would likely get you better mileage than going between the cities in California....or it could just be the Techron....

EMERGENCY! Global cities! This is not a drill! Sorry. Had to say it.

I remember connecting to Worlds Chat in like 95 or so. It was one of these 3d chat rooms. Kinda fun, but regular IM is more practical in the long run.

Stop complaining about GIMP or Photoshop. If ya don't like GIMP's UI, then shell out the cash for PS. If you like GIMP, USE IT!
