hmm, i have 2.4ghz phone and it never compleatly knocks down the network, it just slows to about 5.5mbps(i have 802.11g)the trick is to get an older(about 2001) panasonic phone, my friend got one of these and it never takes his network down either(same one i have)
i cant remember the site, but someone had (and could prove it) overclocked a 1.13ghz P3 to 9ghz. really. i remember that i was a big media bltz for a little bit and he was using some kind vapochill-type cooling system. it was in pc-gamer magazine and on some website(i wish i remembered) this was in 1999 IIRC
well, i:
dropped my cell phone in a fountain, shorted the battery out but i shook it a few times and it still worked,
i once ran my old p3 for almost a month with a dead cpu fan, it browned a section of the mobo but it still works fine
i punched my 486 for some reason(dont remember, it was long ago) so had that it dented the case and unseeted half of the ram chips(6 i think) but it didnt crash, kept running for the rest of the day. opened it up to find that a bunch of the ISA cards had fallen out, messed it up a little, one of the ISA slots never worked again, i overclocked it %50 percent to 66mhz and then, since its heatsink was so huge(it was an OLD server) i overclocked it to almost 200mhz, stable! i found out later this worked because i wasnt changing the bus that the memory was on, there was a seprate bus for the cpu! where the abuse part came in is evendently the punch loosened the heatsink, because a few days later 3 things hapened, 1.the second case fan burned out 2.the harddrive burned out 3.it literaly burst into flames! i was suprised at how long it lasted overclocked though
i never saw a SNES wireless controller that didn't suck, same for the n64, although the wavebird(NGC) is the best one ive ever used. also, i still dont see why he didnt just use a shuttle, after all a fast pc can emulate ANY current game system.
try opening up the images that look corupted in notepad, they have bits of strange text in them like(originally without the quotes):

the weirdest one is "cutebee.gif" from teh main page:

there is much more if you have the time, it just seems like a hack that someone did as a joke. i think that maybe the Halo 2 video may have been edited also
as i always understood it you owned the HARDWARE and "leased" the software, you can do whatever the dumbf*ck you want with the hardware as long as you dont mess with the software/firmware but it seems thats changing to a you-lease-everything model now. o well soon no one will own computers, will just lease them all from aoltimewarnermicroftsonyhonda(big merger coming soon)
next its gonna be "the water antenna" and then what "the air antenna, just imagine it and it works" all they do is have a guy come to your house and adjust your current antenna....... o well. life just gets dumber dont it
my MOTHER got me started on downloading movies, she said "o is that new denzel washington movie, ya the the man on fire one out yet?" and i said no. so then she said "well i one of my friends said there kids are downloading movies, you have whatchamacallit broadband couldnt you do that" she pestered me untill i burned her a vcd. good job mom. set an example, on how to GET ME IN JAIL!
i'm using my neighbors wireless right now and i dont mean nextdoor, he lives 4 blocks away! the signal usually doesnt cut out that much but when it does then everything i'm sending get curup!#KJH!KJ#H!BNMSDUIAYHKJ as i was saying everything gets curupted, but at least i get free broadband(w00t i'm gonna bittorrent all night)
i always thought this was a cool idea, anyone remember that really weird book about this? that rocked. if you still dont get the point its that there will be a space station at the top and the elevator can shuttle up space ship parts and people. and i hope they have at LEAST polyphonic elevator music by then as all the current stuff sounds like monophonic ringtones on an old kyocera cellphone.
i had overclocked my 486 dx2 to 66mhz(originally 33) just for something to do, it worked VERY stably for about 8 months then it started smoking, a LOT and then all it would do is give me "non system disk or disk error" and fill the screen with numbers and then freeze, i openened it up and an area of about 6 inches around the CPU was burned black. needless to say i lost EVERYTHING and i couldn't afford a new computer for 3 years. STUPID me
one of my friends has comcast and he quit using his comcast email because it was getting spammed big time before he had even used it for anything, so its even worse for the users, there not blocking port 25 within there own network are they?
i'm still using 0.8 and i intend to stay with that untill at least 1.0, see i dont upgrade my sofware at every little increment if its working fine, but i will get the major upgrades just in case theres something good about them, one exeption: i check the firefox site, and if there are any major security holes(which i REALLY doubt) i will download the update. but otherwise 0.8 is stable for me
