Can someone PLEASE explain why all the comments pointing out that this game doesnt nessecarily deserve all the hype it got.. Even the ones that aren't flaiming it, just pointing this out are moderated to 0 or less?

And he built a ten node cluster OF ten node clusters, then this is lame. and he is under-qualified to do the book(most likely) as most ACTUAL enterprise clusters are at least 20 nodes, possibly more if its clusters of blade servers.
I got a free old gateway solo 1100, the batery AND the PMU that would let the battery charge are dead. so was the HDD, but after a quick swap of that and a 16bit wifi card i had laying arround. it was plugged into my car cigarete liter and happily wardriving. another laptop saved from the landfill!
How much processing power does this need, i have an old palm IIIc and i like the newton OS... would that run it?(it WILL run some flavor of linux/unix IIRC)
Yes, but is the excluding in and of itself illegal? and also, after checking through that site i see you can have "spam protection", meaning they dont put your real email(possibly no email?) into the WHOIS. would that be illegal?
I remember some local company(local to me..) making something exactly like this back in 1996 or so, they sold a few of them but i remember trying one and they were amazingly slow. probably since that was the P1/P2 era and they were trying to make it a $2000 setup with monitors and everything. it was kind cool though because they desinged and built the things by hand. drivers, cases and all.
That unbeliveable.... mine calls me all the time to say "my computer won't work" when i ask what was the last thing she did when she used it last she says "well.... i turned it off" when i ask how she says "by pulling the plug out, it wont shut down when i click shutdown" when i ask about that she says "well i click it.... and then nothing hapens after for a while" then i'm told about how she pulls the plug after ten seconds.... next time i'm there i urn it on and shut it down, takes about 30. these are the people who need to be banned from the internet.
The real market for these is in laptops... as in if your staying in a crappy motel(for a convention or something) that doesn't have a TV this would be great. or for the old game-system-in-the-car routine.
I remember hearing that there is a monitor at google headquaters(i think it was in wired magazine) that scrolls random searches that are currently being done, cool idea.... but not new
i wan't to see them do it to the "desktop" syle philco,ya' know the one that basically looked like an old compaq with one of those rounded picture tubes mounted on it? would look much better if you ask me. and you would be able to put it soemwhere where you coudl actully USE it, not on the floor in the living room where it will just be a display piece(i like my mods to be functional TYVM)

Actually the IIIc had a 25mhz processor, and it wasn't a 68000(some kind of custom chip) just FYI.

96% of movies are downloaded through bittorrent(i dont remember where i saw this) so it would porbably be up on supernova, not on emule.
And i thought google was supposed to be the open, free source of information.. o well, i wonder how the chinese goverment could have pressured them?
