If they made it easier to upgrade from xp 32bit to win7 64bit, then I would have done the switch long ago. I have the upgrade disk, a new hard drive, and backups. I just can stand the thought of reinstalling or downloading all of the apps I have all over again, maintaining compatibility, etc. What a PITA.
I would go with your term Web Editor in this case, as the description sounds more like what periodical publication editors may do, with regards to how sentence structure may be presented (blockquote, italics, etc.), and navigation (index, pagenumbers, headings etc.), all of which only requires basic HTML expertise.
Depending on how long Utube.com has been online, they really should have been prepared for this. Trademark issues aside, anyone who relies on their website for their business should really consider purchasing as many variations of their domain name as they can possibly afford. There's very little reason not too as cheap as domain names are these days. Otherwise fair is fair.
I've spent some time with my setup, carefully selecting components and placing them appropriately. However, i have yet to find a 5.1 movie soundtrack that makes me remember I have a 5.1 system.
If I put the laptop on my bare chest it leaves red marks. It may be because the laptop is so thin, or maybe the HSF construction is shoddy.
Wouldn't that be a chesttop then? Dude, you're using it wrong!
Actually, thanks for the info. I've never bought a laptop before, and i'm in the process of looking for one below $600 for my gf going back to grad school. I've heard the battery life on these Balance are around 90 minutes. What can I expect from a refurbished P3 IBM thinkpad?
If I understand this correctly, this could be implemented to solve the slashdot effect, as long as the majority of slashdotters ran this program somehow? what if it was just a Firefox extension?
There are open source alternatives to Intuit, for the most part, but what I'm getting at is if they're used to Quickbooks, it would probably be better for them to run it on linux anyways than on windows.
If you have it set to download but not install, I have been able to do custom install, uncheck it, and it prompts me if I don't want to be notified of this update again.
would it make you feel any better to know that osviews.com is hosted on OSX?

3) Any document can quickly be made into a PDF (a standard in our community)
Creating a PDF shouldn't really be considered the holy grail of an office environment, since there so many Open source programs that can do that already. OpenOffice and PDFcreator come to mind.
I find that firefox is way more unstable on pages with many images. I mean like 100 or more large images. It always seems to crash. It may be the version I was using at the time, but try going to http://fusker.com/ or similar and give it a shot. Opera doesn't crash on these pages, plus, even if it does, it usually remembers where I was last. That's a feature I'd like to see on firefox. Any linkage?
I'm surprised that I can't find any mention of Hot Rod magazine here. It's the auto equivelant to modding ones pc, and there are always heated arguments as to which is better, chevy, ford, or mopar, which is right up the alley for all of those heavily opinionated geeks (myself included).

The closer to amazon rental prices, the less I'll be going to redbox.
Have you been to Arizona recently? it's not far off of an accurate description.

From my understanding, it's easier to get wine to run Intuit products as a user account that it is to run those same products as a limited user in XP.

I remember compiling slirp on our access accounts just to get the GUI web at the University of Iowa. It was either that, or pine and linx.
