I take the train at my own expense on some business trips so I can relax and get away. Pagers, cell phones, and other devices do not work along railways in the South in most cases, so you have some "relax" time until the phone starts ringing in a major city. This may actually cut their business because some of their customers will just take the plane if they are going to have to communicate with people again!
Use KMail 3.3.1... and click "Bounce"
Kmail 3.3.1 makes use of three (3) spam filters [SpamAssassin and two more] and four (4) anti-virus programs [ClamAV, Sophos, F-Prot and another one]. Sorry, the don't let me bring my laptop to work to look at it and the little weasels have port 22 outbound blocked.:S
I had a problem that was a lot worse than that. Try installing the user-agent switcher, switching to IE6 user agent, and THEN firefox crashing. when you try to reopen firefox, the java plug-in tells you it isn't designed for internet explorer. you then have to uninstall java, open firefox, change the user-agent, and then reinstall java. Make sure you firefox doesn't crash with the user agent switched on.:)
Wonder what kind of email it would take to make Daryl McBride go back home?
"Mr. McBride:
Linux users are going to invade your company. You will have the choice to die or live. On the other hand, we can just continue to let you run the company like you are and you'll kill yourself, the company, and the stockholders all with one shot."
Friendly Linux User.
That is why they call it "computer ASSISTED ordering" or CAO for short. You must check your balance on hand, your pack, your shelf space (available slots), and the forecasting percentage for that group of commodities. That is why some of the managers weren't so good, that is why I was better. I adjusted the computer to meet my needs and after a bit of data correction, it worked flawlessly. Mis-scans, stealing, damaged cases, and many other items need to be addressed before you can even start to talk about CAO.
Being an ex manager at a Kroger food store... you cannot pick up Western Unions outside of a 30 mile designated radius. If you put the pick up city as Kansas City and try to pick it up in Tulsa, you aren't going to get the money...
CrossOver Office
Office runs just fine on Linux when you HAVE to have that Access database...
otherwise, OpenOffice and Ximian Evolution [with optional Exchange connector...] works wonderful. AAMOF, I use OpenOffice on Windoze and Thunderbird to save that $550.00 per 10 computers.
I prefer to use WinSSHdhttp://www.bitvise.com/winsshd.html to create an SSH connection to my XP box and then use Remote Desktop through the SSH. Seems more secure to me and of course, I run the SSHd on an off the wall port so it's not in a normal scan. If you use the SP2 firewall, you don't have to have remote desktop or the 3389 port enabled, only the SSHd port that you have selected.
and now that it's easy to do bookmarks in, I'm going to start recommending it even more. I didn't like the way it allowed selection of your bookmark folders in 0.9.x
reply, but cruftbox.com has been/. already.:S
I do hate standard aptitude tests, they are usually unrealistic and have nothing to do with what you have actually learned. Take the National Registry EMT tests, they are so "wordy" that you could pick any answer and be right in your head, but because of the one word, the answer is wrong. Anyone can tell you how to do the procedure, but picking the right answer from two right answers is a hard thing to do!
I'm wondering how many IT pro's have downloaded this new firefox and installed it by deployable logins? I am aware of a company that downloaded it one time and installed it on twelve computers via domain login script.
IIRC, 98 had a window that would warn you when you were sharing files over an internet connection. It used something to the extent of check network security that was in the dial-up properties. Was this small little feature not carried over to XP?
yes it is true. Have you seen the program with the tools, such as the hammer, flamethrower, ants, etc. Also the program that flips your screen upside down and the "game" that looks like it is deleting your hard drive? These are the "joke" programs it is talking about. housecall http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ will detect those "joke" programs also.
as soon as OBL gets a hold of this program he's going to start secretly x/f'ing his messages through this program.
Yep, wont' be long and the NSA/CIA is going to can this program from all the rest of us. GET IT WHILE YOU CAN!
Kroger has used SCO OpenServer 5 since at least 1999. With at least 1,000 stores using openserver 5 for the "computer assisted ordering", I wonder what the upgrade path will be.
Of course, I wouldn't mind taking home one of those 4 power supply, dual motherboard (with dual P-Pro 200 procs) and installing *nix on it.:)
Maybe court reporters could use a device similar to this since there are not that much more keys on their keyboard. I looked at a transcript once before it was translated over to real English... it was worse than trying to decipher a 12 year old AO-hell kid.
Go to start -> contral panel -> network & internet connections -> network connections...
right click on your dial-up and select properties. now click on "file and printer sharing" and click "uninstall."
Some users have to reboot, some do not. depends on how windows is feeling that day!
Last customer that I had having these problems would download activex and java applets that sent the messenger popup on 127.0.0.1, which in turn, your firewall does not block! Turn off the messenger or better yet, do as I do, uninstall file and printer sharing which will stop that all together.

Try that, then reload firefox and slashdot.

another step in regulating voIP may be a driving instrument behind this.
blah. that other one wasn't there when I posted. :S now I'm going to get a redundant, because I cannot figure out how to delete my own message...
slower ... but higher performing?
oxymoron?
[my attempt at being funny]

maybe with the new protocol they won't be pwn3d like there were this August.

do you have a regression analysis or F-test of this "average time" and dollar amount?
