    From my limited understanding of things, that shock front on the leading edges causes a rather large amount of heat to be dealt with. I'd imagine getting rid of that lets you save cost/weight/designer-hairpulling when working with the principle.

    Eg, I seem to recall the SR-71's leading edges were actually designed to handle deforming at said high-temperatures. You have to admit that getting rid of that complexity would be a good thing.

    Nope, that's outside of the SD card mountpoint, so you can't get to it from an external device - and applications can't modify system files (think if a normal user trying to edit in /etc without su/sudo - it's not going to work)

    I recall an event on the Image-Line forum. One of the site admins (guys who make their software etc - content creation software) - was accused of "stealing" his own samples. Said content provider even "reviewed" the claims and rejected it... which was hilarious, because it was demonstrable that he created the damn things and gave permission for it's use in the work triggering the takedown.

    This shit is insane.

    Remember if you generate your QR code with high enough redundancy, you can destroy an amount of the center of it to embed a logo or such, while leaving the QR readable.

    Also, it only cares about contrast differences between dot and no-dot, so you can play with colors too.

    This is set up in the gas station equipment itself, not at the credit card processor etc.

    It's a balancing act - too low and people can't fill their cars in one go... yet too high and people who would otherwise fill up get declined, get pissed off, and leave.
