I will have to agree with that. It seems the way to go in the future anyways with Windows grinding out onto ARM cores now. Sure the *NIX crowd will be capable of doing this, but with the number of Win users on server side being able to run ARM based machines, it's telling that the market will be more flexible and apt to adopt technology of this nature.
No offense, I have used the alternatives to MS Office. They are not the same. Office is one thing that MS actually has done a good job with lately. Windows 7 wasn't that bad either.
Intel, they just went for their license last week. AMD has had their license for 4 years now. Who want's to make bets on who is going to win this race? AMD has won all of the previous ones.
Waiting for it to arrive, and plan on deving some ideas I've been throwing around for the past few years. Just think, this might be a way for Linux to break into the game market. Having a handheld that can carry games that are ported from the computer version done on Linux on your PC. I just wish it had rechargable batteries rather than AAs. Those things get expensive after a while. Not to mention how bad they are for the environment.
If they offer the First world a model at 200 a piece, I'm sure it'll help drive the cost of investment down for the participants involved. I know that I would buy at least one, probably more. I can already think of a few things to use them for, and that's without actually looking at where in my work environment they could be useful.
Linux naming conventions are the hardest thing for any new person to get used to, and it halters many from getting involved in the open source community because they don't understand the conventions. Personally I think it's one of the things holding back the linux OS from being widely recognized. Honestly Linux will never get past the small percentage until the developers start looking at how people remember names, and realize that it requires at least two sylables to do that.
All of this goes into my argue why Open Source has thusl been a failure this far. Naming conventions are the biggest difficulty. Have no real standard is the second one. If the Linux community really wants to have any real significant part of the world of software, it needs to stop pandering to the geeks, because the geeks will use anything that is done properly, and done well. Linux already has that advantage over Windows, and thusly needs the rest of my argument to clear up before it's a viable alternative for everyone else.
It's time Linux started growing up, and developed some standard developers. Who's going to be the one to start the process?
Before anyone gets their panties in a bundle over my comments, I've used Slackware since 7.2, and now currently have Slackware in the form of Vector Linux. I'm and avid Mac user, and have also used FreeBSD. So I do know a little bit about this topic, as I had the same difficulties when I first started with stupid naming conventions, and non-sylable names.
I checked out some of those pictures on Google Earth, and I went to look at my old residence in Wisconsin. You woulndn't believe it, but I saw the car I had four years ago sitting in the damn driveway. Now I know that car is gone, because it was totalled in an accident involving my girlfriend at that time. With the pictures being that out of date, why would anyone use them for a terrorist attack. Most terrorists use live agents to invetigate the target area, and this is how they've always operated, so I fail to see the logic behind this.
Out of all of the States in the US, the one no one expects comes out with something that would help fight against the stupid software ownership rights issue. I hope it passes myself, perhaps then Open Source projects will have to start conforming to a solid standard now.
I never even cared to look for IE for OS X. I've been using Camino lately, beside it not having a.pdf extension or anything of that like, it works better than FF for me.
People go through trends. If they keep trying to market the same style of ghetto booty rocking crap every year they will eventually have slumping sales, because it all sounds that damn same. The same goes with whiney boys that dress like girls stuff. People realise that they have their own problems, and they don't need to hear about someone else's problems. The crap they push nowadays is just marketed hype, and it's pushed as a specific brand rather than have actual content.
The day the Marketing executives started telling us what we should like in the world, is the day we stopped pay them for their services, and it has nothign to do with the format of they releases.That only effects those that ares till buying from them.
I pretty much catch everything there is, and see at least one repeat everyday. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, becaus eht evariety of comments is the entertainment.
Thanks for that. I was going insane trying to figure why this thing kept doing that. I have a v2.2 and it constantly, at least twice a day freaks out and simply stops on me. I have access through the hardline into it, but not through the wireless. I suppose I should update the firmware now.
...they weren't so damn loud when they spin up. I also have never been able to have a Western Digital drive last more than a year. I generally stick to Seagate.
I guess you never played driving games before N64 then. I mean I still don't use the joysticks on any system for anything but FPS. I play all driving games with the D-pad. I play Burnout Revenge with the D-pad and rolled through the damn game getting gold on everything the first try.
