im surprised e3 is actually EXPANDING instead of shrinking. with all the shitty games that have come out in the last few years, i figured that e3 woulda went the way of COMDEX and the like. even the overhyped tokyo game show has seen decreasing numbers in the past several years. sure, just like everyone else, i want to see them actually show off the xbox2 (i refuse to call it a 360), but does everyone really need to gather in one spot to do this kind of thing anymore? i can understand conventions for other industries, but for gaming and electronics, we have the fucking internet. look at what happened to (most) gaming print mags when the internet came out. they went ghost. microsoft could easily pull off their own huge event without anyone else to turn heads the other direction. same could be said for sony and nintendo. the internet would just as easily provide an additional venue for people who arent able to attend, JUST LIKE THE INTERNET ALREADY DOES. is my time up yet?
i just hope sony started a trend with the psp. where they finally do away with all these regional lockout bullshit. if i want to play games from japan 5 years before they are released here, i shouldnt have to modify my xbox360 to do so. or buy an xbox360 from japan. regional lockout is bullshit. i hope they cut that shit out.
i was having the same problem when trying to find a dual opteron motherboard. i noticed the prices went UP as you dropped more shit from the featurelist!!! i dont fucking need onboard audio, video, lan, etc!! but i went and got me a tyan s2875anrf anyway.:(

where alot of files distributed werent packed/encoded/ripped by a group but rather an individual. i didnt rtfa and i dont plan to. another thing in my day to call bullshit on.
the only mmorpgs ive played are ragnarok online, master of epic, and lineage2. i dont know about other games, but i wish permadeath was a part of these games when i was playing them. most people would say leveling up is stupid, but i find leveling up to be fun. once you get high level and there isnt anything to do anymore, whats the point? if you die, you should have to start over. would make people less reckless and careful about what to do next. i dont know if it would reduce the amount of idiots that play these games, but i think it would be a good addition to games these days. mix it up a bit.
but when i die, just take the items that are on me leave my storage/warehouse/bank alone:)
but backwards compatible? thats the question. ill ditch the old xbox in a second if it can play all my old games. the xbox takes up alot of floor real estate.
oh, ill still buy the new xbox eventually, once someone figures out how to mod it:)
