Ok, so how about bikes and walking for any one in good health. Buses and trains to augment the bikes and to provide transportation for those who can't ride. And lastly cars for stuff like picking up furniture or wood from lows.
Weather, I don't have much of that in Southern California, so I tend to forget about it. It would make it hard for part of the year, so using the car some times would still be necessary. I think the real problem for making things bicycle friendly is city planing. Big box stores and strip malls that have "no bicycle" signs, combined with suburban sprawl make it almost imposable be a bike commuter.
About seven years ago I would have thought this was the epoch of cool. Now I think it's cool, but not even in the top 100 of cool civics works projects. Once I started riding my bike to work fast doesn't impress me like it once did. On the other hand Copenhagen has redid it's infrastructure to have protected bike lanes all over the city and residential districts are close to work. Now that's cool.
So the power grid is kind of like the poor family that can only afford a busted money pit of a car to get dad to work and back. It is always needing repairs, and ends up costing more in the long run than just buying a new car. But with out being able to get enough cash together for the new car you are stuck with the rust bucket.

Even still, lies abound. If it weren't for lies we would not have politics. Also, how many faked cell phone popcorn popping videos have been circulated in the past 12 months? Unlock a car with a tennis ball any one? The information on the internet is only as accurate as the people who post it. Most people are lairs. Look at me, I don't post under my real name.
Yes, but headsets will still work, it's just the more advanced bluetooth applications that have been put on hold. Then again, if they completely dropped bluetooth I don't think I would miss it all that much. If I'm driving I just don't answer the phone.
Yes, NASA, the Air Force, and the entire US government are being used to cover up the Stargate Program. Everything is just one big cover up. But The Truth Is Out There
Yeah, well in 100 years I plan on living on a space station with an ultra fast internal network and supply high speed satellite service to any one below me for free. Cables (and gravity) begone!
Well oblivious they KNEW he would look like a crackpot so we would obviously not believe him. On the other hand they KNEW that we would think that we know they think he wants to look like a crackpot so we would obviously not believe NASA. However, we know that he has been on the moon, so he might have gone mad, so obviously we can not believe him. However knowing he has been on the moon means he was privy to a lot of highly classified information so we obviously can not believe NASA. However only a great fool believe in what has no proof so we can obviously not believe him. On the other hand NASA knows the slashdoters of the world are not great fools, and they were counting us not foolishly believing him, so we can obviously not believe them. INCONCEIVABLE!
I thought that was "Exterminate!" that it shouted. You know, those pepper pot guys...Joking aside, I did my share of stupid stuff long long ago. I remember installing snood because some one said it was the best game ever, and then needing to purge my system to get rid of gator and all of it's related slop. Yes, it was extremely stupid and I should have known better (I think I was 17 at the time) but I never made that mistake again. Quite frankly I think you should not get your Geek Card until after you make a few mistakes like that. It's not about making the stupid mistake, but about how you handle it that makes you a geek. End of rant (and btw, I do get that the the above post is part humor and sarcasm)
Yeah, and when the AI's take over they won't do it with Mega Killer Robots(tm). They will do it by sending every one a text message that reads "Vote for the all AI government or we shut off your hot water and coffee."
You can do that if you do every thing in plain text...But all joking aside I prefer rich text format because it is so easy to get any word processor to open it. And it dose have formatting problems but that's ok because I only use a minimum of formatting anyway.
As a southpaw, i like the ability to mouse and wright at the same time. But then again, I work in accounting, and that need evolved out of needing to wright and use a 10 key at the same time.
No, it's the wand of Rassilon.

Thanks, next time I will use pinnacle or zenith.

Rassilon? Omega? Or are you The Other?
OS/2?
Ok. They win. I'm going home now.

Wow, I think I need a cup of tea.

Yes, but dose Donna have that bug on her back? If so we are all doomed.

you need to watch "Bill Cosby Himself." He talks about that very thing.
It's not just noodles. Its a way of life.

No, like you'd taken a swig of gasoline over and over again until all that bacteria gets killed off.
Ah, photon torpids.
Maybe he means his head will freeze and the water expanding inside will cause his skull to crack.
