If they were truly environmentally oriented, they would have given a discount for going paperless with the money they save from not sending out paper bills. (I'm sure as heck it wouldn't be anywhere near $1.50/month though! I could print off my bill in triplicate at the library for that much:\)
I have the same problem almost, I have to really pay attention to signs. I don't really think it's a big problem though since thankfully 99% of driving is recognizing shapes, not trying to read letters several hundred feet away while constantly trying to avoid a collision with any of these shapes I mentioned earlier. YMMV.
I use git or tortoisegit for my file transfer needs. There is also a samba share for my xbox to access movies and music. If that doesn't cover it, I have my flash drive somewhere with a portable copy of winscp.
My personal machines all start with the letter d, from my router to my server. Of course, that's a side effect of using names of the Endless from Sandman.
I think it's a doomed trend. On one side you have the classic colored glasses (I got a couple pairs of these when I bought Coraline 3D last week), which throw off all of the colors of the movie just for some 3d gimmickry. On the other side you have polarized glasses, which by definition cut the light you receive in half! On the gripping hand, these glasses with screens inside are bound to be expensive one person only experiences.
It will work out well as long as you're consistent with your code. A quick test with showed that one space, five tabs and two spaces, and two tabs all worked. As long as you use one and stick to it.
I also use vim smart tabs (or whatever they are called, where it does 4 spaces instead) and python just sees them as they are in the file. 4 spaces.
I think the recommendation is to stick to 4 spaces however, and not mix tabs up in there, but that goes along with staying consistent in your code.
Agreed, I've started keeping games that I feel were amazing. It sure makes it easier knowing that I cant trade away the crappier ones on my shelf to get one that I missed.
On the contrary, these houses had traded much of their living space for this thing called a yard. Not to be confused with the measurement, a yard was the area generally unused by the house left grassy.
"So what did the narwhal eat to get its tusk?"
And how many of those servers are filled to the brims with grad students parallel processing versions of a glorified infinite loop?

Phew, good thing you can tell the time of day from the sun's position!

So are you saying that perhaps innovation could top plot? For something like quake, I'm not sure I could base my love for it on the social aspects.
I would have worded it a little bit differently, but this is my attitude as well.
Whoops, I guess I forgot to answer the actual question. I use ext3 with fat32 on that random flash drive :)

Dang, now he has to admit he actually likes the little rascal
The book you're thinking of is Doorways In The Sand
Request for car analogy here, I don't get this woman thing.

Please correct me if I got anything wrong.
802.11(b,g,n)?
Just because the backup solution _uses_ RAID doesn't mean the old adage applies to it. As long as you are using it as external backups all is well.
What that phrase IS telling you to do however is not use RAID on the machine you want to back up and expect it to do what you want.
Spoken by someone who's truly never used python for a small project :)
Wait, what language is this that already uses red/blue italic flashing FORs?

A good place to start is the IRC channel for a project. Especially during the summer, since the organizations in Summer of Code will have idea lists up with many many unclaimed ideas. The org I'm working for this summer is Thousand Parsec ( http://www.thousandparsec.net/wiki/Ideas_for_Programmers ), but you can find other idea pages here: http://socghop.appspot.com/program/accepted_orgs/google/gsoc2009

I'm in a similar situation as OP, so I was looking through some of the ideas as well and it sounds like meetup.com would be right up your alley.
What ARE they teaching in science these days?
Analog is even easier to capture than digital since there's no encryption. All you need to do is shift the medium from string to air
