    I never understood why did something become a privileged just because the state says it is. Rights can be limited or revoked if you break society's laws.

    Increasing income taxes to 100% would barley make a dent and would not keep up with spending. The only way to fix the problem is to fix entitlements, kill subsidies and fix the tax system.

    You could eliminate the military and raise income taxes to 100% and still not balance the budget.

    The 800lb gorilla of spending in the room is entitlements: social security, medicare and medicaid. If these programs aren't fixed and soon it will be too late.

    Yeah. I have IRAs and mutual funds that are made up of dozens of stocks. Maybe you have the time and resources to investigate all of their chief officers and board directors, I don't.

    The F/A-18E/F is a very capable fighter/bomber.
    The F-35 is not a big enough leap in capability to warrant the price tag and not as stealthy as originally advertised.
