    What worries me is that he will use his lobbyists to get laws passed that will ensure the force of law requires the elimination of online anonymity.

    If you want to access your healthcare records or use the DMV, you have to log in to your Google managed government user-account that looks like and acts like Facebook.

    Has the FCC permitted the states to assist it in enforcing or expanding federal communications laws? Didn't congress give exclusive authority for communications to the FCC with a few exceptions for the military?

    Local governments are more in tuned with local needs than the always corrupt federales. I don't want people outside of my state having a say in my state's internal issues. This includes healthcare, education and roads.

    How is providing the password not a 5th amendment violation?

    The spirit of the 5th amendment, "nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself", is that no one should be forced to help prosecute themselves. The prosecution should be required to make its case as if the defendant were on another planet.

And no one can tell them apart, other than what they want to spend the most money on fastest."

    First off not all 'conservatives' think this way about marriage. Many feel that marriage is none of the government's business.

    Secondly there are no big government conservatives or bigger government conservatives. Any real conservative thinks the government is far too big as it is and votes accordingly. The politicians that want big or bigger government might call themselves conservative. This doesn't make them conservatives.

    Some had slaves. All of them risked their lives and those of their families to build a nation. It certainly was not perfect, but the concepts that that all men are created equal and the best government is the least government is timeless. Unfortunately as of late our elected officials (Republican and Democrat) feel the best government is a nanny state.
