    The problem here is that other parts of the Constitution have been interpreted as trumping the 10th amendment. The commerce clause for example has not been interpreted as written or intended since FDR days. This alone has made the federal government all powerful.

    Why no jail time? It was a multi-million dollar fraud to bilk consumers and stockholders out of millions. How is this any different than blatant theft.

    Not to use the information would be a disservice to all UK taxpayers.

    The article also mistakenly treats tax avoidance and tax evasion as being synonymous.

    No doubt. Even Lewis Hamilton is going to be more accident prone if he is distracted. A requirement of the higher speed is that you are permitted to do nothing else but focus on driving. Use a cell phone and it is jail time ... which should be the law anyway at any speed other than 0.

    That aside, it is good to see a politician thinking outside the box.

    The AGs should not be able to do this until they can demonstrate laws were broken. Otherwise they are making up the rules as they go along. Rules that have not been approved by a law making body.

    Topix should be able to petition a judge to shut down any talk of remediation until the AGs present formal charges.
