    Besides, comparing NASA systems to AF desktops is an apples to rocks comparison. A commercial OS is not used to operate combat systems ... unless you're the Navy.

    Costs are estimated at $35B-$100B US. A fraction of that money could have been spent on truly scientific research such as an expedition to Europa or the Hubble replacement.
