Are you serious? I have a very hard time believing anyone could watch a movie on a C64. It was amazing just to have an 8 second audio clip play on those things like "last V-8, return to base immediately!"
Ah, I didn't understand the circumstances. It's also not only the car drivers that are selfish and inattentive. I've seen motorcyclists acting like idiots and thereby giving all motorcyclists a bad name, and recently, I had a bicyclist run a red light not too far in front of me while I had the green and could have run him over. So, I agree with you and broaden the blame to inconsiderate people.
So you are admitting to stepping out in front of a moving car and are shocked that you got hit? I tend to have less faith in other people, in fact often I like to make sure there are objects like trees and parked cars between myself and traffic.
You either have gigabit internet, or don't mind recompressed video quality. Some of us don't have that kind of bandwidth and appreciate a good picture.
It's also why I have to import my blu-ray of "More American Graffiti" from the UK instead of being able to buy it here in the U.S.
I did the same thing with a Harry Potter bluray box set. It was roughly half price to buy it and have it shipped from England via royal mail than to purchase it here in the U.S.
Non-profits can get Microsoft software relatively inexpensively. Something like $8 for an OS license and $24 for office. There are restrictions on the licenses though.
This. Also, you don't need to read further if you read what "this" refers to, though you'll be missing out on my inciteful wit contained within this sentence.
around here we can't afford a separate knife for every diner, so you have to cut everything you'll need and then pass the knife along.
Wow. In America, it's not unusual for people to have more than one knife per person! Maybe Americans really are spoiled. I can't imagine everyone having to pass around the knife every dinner.
My dad used to be a public defender, and It's interesting to me how nearly every tv show demonizes public defenders, and gives halos to the police. Granted you can't really trust a lawyer any more than anyone else (including police), but we are all just people here.
When I fought off an attempted robbery at gun point, the police most certainly were my friends. It all depends on the circumstances. I was once pulled over for a speeding offence, and the way I was answering his questions prompted him to ask if I was a lawyer.
Myself and many other TWC customers can't stream 1080p off Youtube reliable, even on their '50mbps' tier. If you're in one of the areas that is exclusively served by TWC, file and FCC complaint about it. We need to turn up the heat on these companies and they'll finally buckle and give us what we want.
That's good to know. Now I know that I'm not missing anything by staying on their lowest tier.
Notice how all their tiers say "up to"?

Your apprehension reminds me of this article: Russian concert laser show blinds 30
Asheron's Call 3?
Which is considerable better than LCD in almost everything.
Including image retention?
note: I don't have an amoled, so I don't know how common this is.
Amoled sounds good and well, except for the reports of image retention / burn-in.

On the msn.com home page: Physicists: 'God particle' is real
Really? I might get one myself and only drive it 1,000 km per year.
Tell that to the driver of the Ferrari F-458 whose video is on msn.com's home page today.
What you don't mention is how difficult it is to cancel said trial period.
Their biggest problem is that they're competing with Google. I'm not sure there is any fix other than trying for a merger.

They might be temporary allies, but not friends.
Understood.

Sometimes mortgages are a bad investment. It depends on the location, market and your plans for the future.
Au contraire!
Ground pressure: M1 Abrams tank: 103 kPa (15 psi) Passenger car: 205 kPa (30 psi) Mountain bicycle: 245 kPa (40 psi) Racing bicycle: 620 kPa (90 psi)
Replace all the cars with bikes, and see how long the roads last.
We should mandate hovercrafts: 0.7 kPa (0.1 psi)
That must be why I see the street getting smashed down wherever bikers ride, like buses do to the street at bus stops.
