    Blu-ray resolutions are not pointless. For an obvious example, compare the sharpness of subtitles between a dvd and a blu-ray some time.

    What res where you ever running that had 1600 vertical? (Unless you are talking about a 2560x1600 30" monitor that you can easily buy new)

    Actually, I have a friend who is partially deaf and they leave the subtitles on all the time. His kids are the best readers in their grades at school by a good margin thanks to always having those subtitles up.

    Don't the police have computers? Can't they just query the DMV themselves? Maybe I need to sell an app that displays a fake ID on your phone if this is what they depend on.

    A lot of those games are unsolvable by yourself without a guide of some sort. Who the hell puts a hole that you are carrying around on a fence, or puts a fish in their ear? Maybe it's just me, but I solved very few of those types of games.

    Do you happen to have any links to some free/low cost MDM ipad/phone solutions? When I last looked everything was rather expensive for a non-profit on a budget.

    Even with good earbuds and a good DAC, most people listen to songs that have been lossily compressed to 1/10th their original size and don't sound nearly as good as the original. Same with the radio now days. Everything seems to have been digitally altered from the original.

    Very good points. I would like to add that even if we do come up with some rules to mitigate risk from an out of control AI, there are plenty of other countries or groups that are likely to create their AI without such controls. It'll probably end up as a huge war between good and evil AI's much like spam and spam blockers.

    My friend wanted a copy of the old Disney movie "song of the south" -- which is now completely banned and disavowed by Disney -- to give to his mom who had fond memories of the movie. The Pirate Bay was the only place he could find it.
