Sorry, but Safari does not yet support web word-processing.
We have heard loud and clear that many of you really want it to work, and we have discussed the problems with their development teams. In the meantime, please try us on: Camino: 1.0a1 or higher FireFox: 1.0.5 or higher Mozilla: 1.5 or higher All of these are FREE and easy to download and use.
Its hardly their fault if the browser doesn't support the features they need. I can confirm that it works great in camino.
Omniweb does this. It's also does a lot of other cool stuff, like save your workspace - so it remembers what sites you had open when you close and reopen it.
Apple does not cater to yuppie techno elite, however they *are* more popular with artist types.
I think they do cater to the yuppie techno elite.
Maybe I'm mis-understanding your definition of 'yuppie techno elite' but I would say thats one of their biggest (new) markets.. I mean... Anyone who's given themselves half a chance to try one in the last two years knows that they're the best (though not perfect) computers out there.
Apart from myself, I know the CIO of a large multinational who uses one, and has all the brass using them too...
But yeah they've got artistic types in there too for sure.. but I think thats an old-school image of mac users. I'm seeing more and more bidness guys with them...
PK
PS I feel like i've misunderstood you somehow, cause I agree with everything else you've said...
Way to stop reading midway through a paragraph, buddy !
The point is backed up in the next line !
The whole quote: If you're on the poverty line, you don't have a lot of time to invest in sports," said John Hawksworth, head of macroeconomics at PwC. Poor countries like Brazil can excel in soccer, the one truly global sport. But in nations where the horse is still the primary mode of transportation, not many people have the time or leisure to compete in dressage.
..So apple WILL care about this..
Isn't Apple's profit in selling the device and using the music to push device sales? Won't this just sell more devices for Apple?"
Sure, iTunes isn't making much money, but thats now, right ? iPod holders are footing the cost of entry to the online music market for Apple.
But, When the music industry starts really smelling the coffee that it has been, until now, spilling on its expensive pink shirt, and online music really takes off.. Apple will be in a position to make a stupid amount of money out of being there already, and oh yeah, with no debt (because the obedient iPodders (like me) paid for it already)
Anyone got any figures for the various other online music stores ?
As for Real - thats just dumb; Why would anyone *ever* use *any* of their horrible shit.

Its nice to know that there are people like you, with the time and patience to correct all of the little wrongs in the world. Really. Thank you.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

It's Mac OS X only though.
Here's the full John Gruber review.

Great:
1. So I can let someone use their website to automatically fill my ipod with crap ?
2. I couldn't just download the MP3 and put it in iTunes ? Is that really such a huge task ? Takes like 20 seconds at most, after downloading..
Seriously, have I missed something ? Otherwise.. Nothing to see here....

Assuming that they could make a uniquely encrypted download for each player, whats to stop me copying MY downloaded version, with MY key....
