The reason they dropped their staff, was because people were buying less papers (due to TV, internet, etc...) and they had less money. The decline happened before they started losing staff.

If your kid has a 4-bedroom house, then you are really spoiling them. A beating or two wouldn't go amiss, just to balance them out.
All fantasy is just science fiction. All you need is to hook the person up to a computer, then feed him the fantasy world. Every single fantasy story could end with them being woken up, hooked up to a computer.

You have had this sort of power for years, just not on one machine. Set up a small cluster in your office, using unused machines, or unused cycles on people machines. Look at Condor, easy to setup, very powerful. You now have access to a Mainframe like pool of computers.
You make a good point, but it is still a little silly. I guess you would prosecute a bus that drove past as well. Google did not set up a camera pearing into your daughters bedroom, they drove past it, and it is unlikely the photo they took would have anything but a reflected window in it.
Sure, there are different types of movie-goers. There are XMen fans, who will see it no matter what. There are people who will never see it. And there are people who are not that into it, but might see it if there is nothing else. These people might watch the unfinished product at their mates house, and decide to see something else at the theatre.
There are also those who will watch it, and think it is rubbish so won't go to pay to see it. Then there are the cheap pricks, who will do anything not to see it.
It just depends on how big you think this market is, whether it is worth pursuing.
