    If this was the CIA, DoD, a major law enforcement agency, or hell a small one, this wouldn't even be up for debate. It would be Bad.

    The are already doing this.

    If it were Microsoft, HP, Halliburton or Blackwater/Xe, it would be Terrible.

    You know why? These companies have already proven themselves to do bad stuff, in the name of getting more money. Google have not done that yet.

    It is like find a serial killer at the door, or a girl scout selling cookies. If we are to react as you would, you would treat them both exactly the same. There is a reason you listed those particular companies, as opposed to say Ben and Jerries, Dupont and Kmart.

    And you need all of that for the Kmart device as well, or are you deliberately being ignorant.

    This device looks so cheap it is worth a look, but I don't hold high hopes. If they put a faster processor in there, more mem, and bump it up to $200-$250, they would have a real winner.

    Funny that this is the first real tablet to come out yet. How long does it take to copy Apple?

    You are wrong. They grew 854% in the last year. If they do that again, they will have almost 200% of the market next year. I guess this means we will all have 2 android devices each.

    To be fair, there are not that many of them, but if you can find stats, put them in.

    Google doesn't release this sort of information.

    Nevertheless, this is great for Google, and great to see. I would put Android at the second best OS, just below iOs, and they both just keep getting better.

    There does not have to be any losers here (except for Microsoft, who suck).

    You are right, ms are coming to the party late. But mobile is such a big sector, and still growing, the can't afford to leave it. Much like their attitude to the Internet, they have to be there, and will pay whatever it takes. They should just buy motorola, and probably would, but they want lots of manufacturers to make their devices.

    the worse that happens is a design does not win, or a company chooses a crap design and has an ugly logo or website until they figure out that it sucks and change it.

    And this isn't even that bad. Nobody cares about an ugly logo, for longer than 2 seconds. It is such a subjective and unmeasurable thing anyway.

    Ha, here is the problem. Nobody cares if the design is done by a 'professional', or some 12 year old kid. If it looks good, fine, accept it. Nobody is not going to buy from you with your cheaply designed logo, nobody cares.

    This is the problem, you are pretending that a professional logo designer is actually better than anyone else. This is not like programming at all. Who cares if the colors blend well, or the font is correct, or the spacing is wrong, or the proportions are incorrect. NOBODY CARES ABOUT THAT STUFF EXCEPT FOR DESIGNERS.

    WRONG There is no fair/schedule put out by airlines. What they do is try to create a fair/schedule themselves, by constantly quering the airlines databases, which costs them money each time they do it.

    read the articles, they are incredibly interesting.

    In canada for example we have laws that require cell phones, even ones not attached to a plan, and with no carrier, can connect to 911.

    Can you really be so ignorant to think this is only in Canada, and not enforced in the entire planet? Every single cell phone has to be able to call the emergency number (911, 112) even without a sim card.

    The reason you are wrong, is that you can never know how much you are being swayed by advertising. Yet you seem to think you can. If you ever buy any products, you are probably swayed by advertising. You or I just will not know it.

    Even when you buy the cheap jeans you can be swayed. You realize they price jeans a particular way to target the expensive fashionistas as well as the cheapos like you.

    What? You are aware you can download apps, or write your own?

    This is a huge boon for businesses of all kinds. Since you were so secretive in what you do (you imaginary business, no doubt), can't point to specfic examples, but here are some other examples:

    Restaurant ordering.
    Stock tracking for use on shop floors.
    Real estate information for selling houses (what we use it for).
    endless number of other uses.

    Either you are too thick to see how this could be useful, or you are just talking shit.

    Sure, it ain't perfect, but it is incredibly useful, and at an amazing price.
