I'm guessing they'd want to use it for the opposite reasons. Instead of archival purposes, corn discs could be used as an expiry scheme... Like that thing Disney was up to.. Buy a movie and you have 2 days to watch it. Afterwords, your machine doesn't play it anymore.
Yeah, so all it's only a matter of time before all theaters would have jammers.
Well doesn't that indicate that the majority of the people would rather have interruption-free movies?
As the number of blocking-theatres increase, cell phone users, people with intense social lives, and those with other emergency needs will flock to non-blocking theatres. At some point, there will be no $$ benefit of blocking because it will alienate the cellphone users and profit will go down.
On the other hand, you might be wrong and the situation could end up the other way around. (With blocking theatres being less popular)
I'll admit I've never run a theatre before so I may be wrong.
I think the people who are the best possible clients for most companies would be the people who are most likely to give away their money for said companies crappy product.
Well you see, they are in the business of selling things. I'm sure they had a meeting or somthing and decided that many of the reviews weren't about the book and rather about the book's name.
Or maybe they just want to make some more money.
Then imagine selling services to the SemWeb. I imagine the President calling for fundraising to fight the proposed war on terror and the people of the world deciding if they would pay to have that done.
In one discussion about finding sponsors, some Wikipedians expressed concern about external funding from companies or governments.
The question is, what if a government was to sponsor Wikipedia? Would that then encourage bias in the articles about the government?
Same can be said about any company that were to sponsor Wikipedia. Even if it is the beloved Google =)
A professor recently mentioned Foundation during the lecture. He said (paraphased), Psychohistory was invented 50 years ago, it's called Macroeconomics.

That's actually a good idea.
Now, help me figure out how I'm gonna sneak a ladder into the building..
It's actually worse than that. Your eyesight is fine. It's your brain that's misinterpreting it all.
