You want to trade your phone up, but you don't want new features? And...why do you care if I want a phone that has an mp3 player. If you really need a reason, here it is:

I already carry my cell phone with me, it would be nice if I didn't have to carry a second device but had the ability to listen to mp3's when I felt like it. Is that really so difficult to fathom? Lets move on.

Thats quite possibly the dumbest thing that has ever been uttered. Do you claim that there are six days in a week because day 1 is 0? No, if you write code you know that 0 holds a place, so you count it as 1. Thus an array of size 7 includes positions 0-6. No matter how you index the days there are still 7 days in a week. If God finished on the 7th day he finished on the seventh day...thats it

Why didn't AOL warn me that 911 could not be reached via instant message. AOL Instant Messager is flawed and they should be warning their customer with six warnings at login and I should receive a card in the mail each month explaining that I should only use my landline telephone when contact AOL.

It means: If software has already been created and includes some set of specifications, then those creating hardware that the software is intended to run on should follow those specifications. Granted, the original specifications that the software is run on were probably created by some hardware vendor. My point was simply that, if something like an OS exists and you are creating hardware that the OS is intended to run on, the hardware should be compatible with the software. Thus, the label "Windows Compatible Hardware."

As a further note, I don't know of a single OS that is compatible with every piece of hardware that exists. A label indicates that a certain piece of hardware is compatible with Windows is helpful to consumers, just like a label that says that this hardware is compatible with a Mac.
