I kind of find it a little ridiculous that Firefox is one of the browsers that made tabs a hit new feature, yet for it to work in any kind of consistent, sane manner, I still need an extension for it even in 2.0.
Not really looking to start a flame war, but jeez, an addon should not be necessary for this kind of functionality. It makes the default tabbed browsing behavior look half-assed without it.
As long as Nintendo frees up the parts that are supposed to be freed by law, and separates the proprietary modules somehow, then shouldn't they be okay?
I don't really buy that argument, though... lots of people download closed source software without paying.
That's not necessarily true. When it comes to piracy, these big companies simply do not get away with that sort of thing, and the big closed source apps are seldom given away on a "free" basis that allows for limited to no support simply due to lack of payment.
because most people use internet explorer and if websites don't work in it it won't me MS they hassle, but the website designers. Designers (I'm one of them) know which side their bread is buttered on, we have to put these hacks in place because at the least clients expect sites we design for them to work in IE. They often might not know that there are different browsers or that websites render differently depending on which browser you view them with.
That may be the case, but wouldn't it make more sense to follow the same direction as a designer, as another company that followed a standard would? For instance, I use a universally standard type of screw, or bolt, that is designed to work in every other wrench or screwdriver that followed the standard, to create a piece of machinery. Would I be to blame when a user contacts me in complaint saying that their faulty screwdriver/wrench that doesn't exactly follow my standard screw, but says it does, produces poor repair results or breakage with my machine? For all intents and purposes I may be required by law to replace said part that broke -due- to the faulty screwdriver, but I am most certainly not to blame for it, as long as I installed it properly, and used the right piece to begin with, and I'd make that clear upon review for the malfunction. Perhaps I'm wrong?
The movie became an internet meme, so while people did in fact see it at the theater because of hype and interest, the rest of the money went into.. oh, maybe.. blank cd's and dvd's, as the entire remaining target audience simply waited for someone to tape it and fire it off into the torrent trackers.
I am aware of what it says on their page. But have you tried it? Because login to gmail and use the full featured version of gmail all the time, like I said before. I hope you don't see me as apprehensive, I'm just saying. "What it says" doesn't always reflect "how it is".
Who are you to say which version he gets? I use Opera on occasion and their fancy frontpage there and gmail both work just as well as they ever would on Firefox, and certainly better than on IE.
People point back at the old classics because back then, pretty much anything new was truly innovative. At least, in retrospect. Games now are no longer such, and it's sad. It didn't take much to innovate and still be fun; now games struggle to try to be more than one genre and it ends up ruining the fun. The industry right now is in a very deep state of mediocrity, and back in the day, it very much was a golden age.

If they had used letters, I wonder how many times the developers would have purposely bombed the project just so they could get away with calling it "Preparation H"...
I don't use my distro to play games. I looked into it, but I don't play games. How would I know what else is out there? That and the commercial games come with everything they need packaged in, I think.
Doom 3, Unreal Tournament, CS (via wine), games that run in cedega.. there might not be a slew of games for Linux and I know I'm missing some, but there are great ports out there that the troll community just likes to ignore for their own sake.
Maybe I'm not keeping close enough tabs on this situation. Can someone please enlighten me as to what the big deal is, with following -another- country's laws to do business there? I thought that was -good- business ethics? (I'm not a business person at all though, so.. I guess mmmv with thinking that way).
I read this headline on my RSS reader, said "Yes" out loud, and almost skipped coming here altogether.
Thanks, I really do appreciate when people clear things up like that for me.
Sometimes, they're one in the same. It's just a matter of coincidence. (Just saying)

The other F keys do other things as well. I suggest going to the Expose homepage. I think if you get the hang of it, you may find what you want.

He's taking the language back!

Reread his post, think about what you just said, and his point is proven.

I believe Apple supports blu-ray.
Jumping Jiraffe...?
Well, with a name like Johnson..
Would you care to overview a bit of what was mentioned on c-span? I'm interested in what was said.
Actually, it is because of the character limit :)
I dunno if it's a joke or something, but your html in your sig is horribly butchered.
I, personally, consider myspace to be the bottom rung of the internet, next to midget porn and webpages created circa 1996.
