Indonesia is pretty important trade partner and is growing economically. It has a growing middle class at the moment and they have a few call centres there that serve Australia (when you don't get put through to India or the Philippines). It also has plenty of money (though, it's not shared fairly with the people of Indonesia), with its self sufficient oil and gas industry (but when I was there in January petrol was the equivalent of 45cents Australian/litre). Analysts have said in recent times that it is going to boom over in Indonesia. So, its importance to Australia will grow.

Missing presumed dead are Captain Jonas Grumby, first mate Willie Gilligan, the movie star Ginger Grant, a professor named Roy Hinkley, a farm girl named Mary Ann Summers, as well as Eunice Wentworth Howell, and the owner of the Howell Torpedo company Thurston Howell the 3rd. The company has said that in light of the accident they will no longer be selling the torpedoes. Though they spent millions setting up the production line, only 50 were sold to date. A company spokesperson has stated that they were flubbergasted that such an accident could occur stating 'Who knew a torpedo could sink a ship?' A search for survivors was called off after a freak storm set in.

To add to Crimson Avenger's comment, the sad thing is, all Bibles that I own, either don't have that 6000 years old thing in them, or if they do it is in the preface or an appendix and they categorically state that it is included for 'historic reasons' only ('historic' not meaning for the study of history, but 'historic' meaning it had been included as a preface or appendix in previous editions), and that wasn't considered accurate in any way shape or form. But, I think a lot of people don't read what's stated and just look at the pretty pictures and conclude that it is considered 'gospel' as it is 'in' the Bible.

It might be received well. A snake in the roof (thatched) is good for keeping the rodents down and stopping food (rice grains) being stolen and eaten etc. Of course, it could make a person trapped in rubble wet themselves. Depends how religious they are I suspect.

  15. Re:Not to sound overly harsh on Pearson Vue Now On Day 5 of Massive Outage · · Score: 1

Last time I booked a cert exam through Pearson Vue the earliest date it could give me was over a week from when I booked. So, last 3 days out is a very short period of time prior to taking the exam, and anyone doing that may end up in a situation where the earliest date is after their cert becomes redundant. So, agree, it is stupid, but is also human nature to a certain extent to leave things to the last possible minute. I've been trying to book a cert exam for the last week and haven't been able to book it, and I'm not in the USA, so it affects the whole world (because, well, it all goes through the website in the USA). I don't have a cert running out, so it is more of an annoyance for me. But, yes, the summary is exaggerating the extent of the 'outage' as well, the website is up, but time outs a lot when trying to book. Pearson Vue say they are taking some registrations etc, just their system is having difficulties.

I was surprised by the people taking up the offers for so little, but most of them resided in India, so maybe $10 is a lot for them. I saw someone asking for the equivalent of numerous books (about 15 books all up) to be written and offering $500 for it, and wanting it done in a week. It gave me the impression of a lot of the non-technical managers I used to work under who thought 1 program (of any size) always took one day to write.
