Actually, for me it was about negative 60 minutes

At my university they offer Windows XP Pro for free download for CS and EE students. I'd never had Windows since 98, been 'nixing since 1999 or so, so I thought I'd give it a shot, and set myself up with one of them dual boots.

Well during the install, about half way though completion it became unresponsive and slow. An hour later it finally completed, and what I had was unusable. I repeated the process unplugged from the net, and it installed fine. I turned on the built in firewall, and then was able to connect without picking up anything (that I know of) and do the Windows Update and install my Uni's standard antivirus.

That was like a month ago. I still haven't booted back into it yet, but its there if I need it I guess :D

"HyperDOS is the neophyte computer user's best friend. In clear and concise language, this GUI (Graphical User Interface) teaches you what you need to know about your computer and gives you a great environment in which to apply your knowledge."

Its flexible, stylish, and yet striaghtforward GUI is hard to beat, and yet takes up no more than a floppy disk's worth of disk space.

And don't forget to pick up your copy of Dr. Sbaitso!

Heh, kidding aside, I saw a HyperDOS user manual in the library today. I almost got a contact high from all the memories that came back from paging through that thing.

Very true. The reason AIDS is such a problem over there is all the strange sexual activity. HIV can be genologically traced to several different strains of SIV, or Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (monkey AIDS). If we were to eradicate human AIDS, it would simply come back again the next time someone decides it is a good idea to bone a monkey. So, yes, the weird folks need to go.
