I'm taking a class under him and bleh he sold the patent to TimeWarner or something like that. At least he invented something that would be around for a long but I didn't like the outcome. Discuss?!
has come a long way and I do support this type of device to help lessen the loss of our troops oversea. I'm hoping that we will be seeing good results from this devices sometimes soon.
How could you see that the White house might deal with this type of restriction? I would think that White House doesn't needs an ISP's restriction. More likely the White House IT Staff're in control of this restriction.
It's totally unfair I agree with ya, once the ISP does this the free internet as we know will collapse.
Yeah looks like the PS2 have another year left in it. Sure the graphics might won't look like PS3 but it's the gameplay that RE-4 offers hold me in the chair with a lamp lighted up. I wish there were more games that offers superb gameplay as well graphics such as Hl2, RE-4 etc...
I do think this would hit the headlines bigger than the Slashdot when this is approved and I just hope that the man don't die installing this stuff. And it's in a remote area basically so I approve anyways;)
Yeah I agree, but I am not too sure about the structure of the clothing material that would allow for such nano-structure to be done on clothing. It would be although awesome and would allow for much finer cloth and more fashion to be developed. Although this should be the next thing that'll come... You should patent this before somebody takes up on the creation and then patents it.
This is not the issue at hand here. It's mere a flaw easily fixed within the next few days. You just watch and I do use FF, IE, and Opera, all of them gives me no problems. FF and Opera's a mental thing. IE can be secure sure but the downside is that it does not have the resource as FF does being a Open Source. IE Bashing doesn't gets us anywhere. Learn from mistake and move on. Quite frankly I am sick of Slashdot's Linux/FF mental flying shit around here. This is an IT level news and take it like a man and in many cases IE works better in some instance than FF. Granted IE's security could have been better but don't you think Microsoft have been working on their products hard lately improving its security and all that. Give Microsoft some credit ad they're doing better than what you could ever do by yourself hah. If Unix and Linux are much so raved about and then tell me why their market isn't as big as Microsoft even while Unix were "the first OS" back then...
Althought you reserve the right to say as you please but I really don't like bashing too much. Granted I'm using FF.;) I took your advice before FF went public. Slash away;)
Kudos to you and I agree! As the GPL states that the user can modify and put it to use in any shape - way the user would like to without any restriction. And this is one of em. Missle Control Program. i think it's cool although. It's my belif that the linux was chosen due to its small footprint as compared to some other OSes.
Now how will it respond to the time attack play mode? I love to time attack as many games as I could. Quake 2 being one of them. I for one welcome our Jake Overlords.
I would start by assesting the budget that you will be using and put nearly all of that into the hardwares that you will be needing to use. I personally would go for a cluster of some numbers / some racks with high speed SCSI HDDs clustered and as well you will need to build a fail safe system so when one node goes down, the roll-over node will take over. For this kind of cluster/scale I would say you want to do main system at the ratio of 4 to one for the roll-over system, such as if you have 20 main nodes you should have 5 back up nodes running at all time ready to assist in case of any failure.
As for the OS, the easiest one to use would depend on you skill level and I would presume that this will involve some flavor of nix, I would go for NetBSD as it's very stable and they have awesome coding for this kind of stuff.
I wish you the best and please keep us informed.;)
To read or not to read and that's the question... Hell I think it's funny that a hacker with a cold-blooded killings habits or whatsoever. I am a hacker and I hack people up for a living. There may be a catch here eh?
Home Defense Sentry Bot... Just think if it were fitted with some kind of bar code scanner, and it scans everybody that comes in a house without one and it will shoot up em up into bits. Of course, 12 Ga. and 20 Ga. fire system comes bundled with it. Now what's next? A MAN-HACK??? Tho that would work even better....
That may be true and a tough task to tackle. How we could improve the safety of it could be harder than we could think. But I am sure it does not have to include the redesign the shuttle itself. Nonetheless, such changes would be very costly and tedious task to do. Nothing will stop debris from hitting the shuttle and more importantly what will stop the outer space debris to hit the shuttle?
is just fine, I mean look at the number of the trip that it has made in the past without a problem and since one stray debris caused so much trouble. I think they should work on how to deflect debris rather than improve the shuttle itself.
I am deaf and my suggestions would be nothing for the OS in general but I can't speak for the blind people out there. In general the OS are already just fine for the deaf people, hell not like I care about sound themes or so.
NOTE: DON'T OVERDO IT, OR YOU'LL JUST LOOK FOOLISH
the ring solution comes down crashing? Wouldn't that be bad? But I think it's awesome. If you spin it fast enough, maybe, it'll be our next home, not the lunar bases, but the HALO RING.
Even though if it may be not the average slashdot reader's thing. Slashdot is basically a upped BBS in which technologies related news makes its living from. I do back up MS on many cases and so on forth.
I do truly believe that if we swicthed Linux and MS in its place, the Slashdot could be having a penguin icon with a borg look. Even if somebody is new, please respect them and embrace them after all if you want to spread the Linux Loving, you got to be loving, not hating. But all in regards, I can understand where you're coming from.
I support both OS widely and I perfer MS still to this date. I'm sure maybe a third of slashdot readers or more are using MS as their main platform as well.
Have a nice day

I read that as Chef as well and I think the Iron Chef - America has a stupider host. I would mod u funny but I'm out of mod point :(

This isn't good at all. This's why I use both Firefox and Opera. However I feel that Opera's more secure for some reason... It must be just me.

HUh 1600x1200 That's the normal aspect ratio not 1200x1600 unless you play it sideways. ;)
no more BSOD Tours. At least, that's out of the picture.
1. Invest in Hyrdogen
2. ???
3. Profit!
HELM it now. I can manage it, I think!
If they weren't taken down yet, they would be slashdotted in a moment.

Freedom does not comes without a price. Don't worry about being wire-tapped unless you've done something bad and well you better worry.
