In my country (Mauritius) They also do the same. They can take you in their customer for 72 hours without informing your relatives and even without have a warrant. They use it for almost anything they want..That's bad !:) Terrorism my ass !!
Try me, I'm very shocked by something like this happening in europe. Here in african countries, everything is just about politcs. I'm on a little island called mauritius. Believe me this is so much opensource can do here, but for some reason..our government chooses to equip our schools with microsoft softwares, recently i've observed that they are willing to let people pirate their softwares for a while, which afterwards the turn this habit into locking devices, cutting crazy deals with small and big enterprises here...I hope someday this will really stop...
I wonder why our National Computer Board is organizing all these open forums, yet No one is trying to promote OpenSource / Linux in this country....
I hope ATI keeps their promises about fixing their drivers. Cause when you kind of think about it, having Linux ro run perfectly on a $ 3000 Notebook with just the Graphics Card (ATI Mobility 9700 256MB) lagging !! that plainly sucks !:(
I've got dual AMD Opteron under Gentoo running MySQL + Apache + ColdFusion. This b0x is hooked up to a gigabit network for about 50 clients on standalone and 25 via a terminal server. The b0x is a real pain in the ass. It often goes down. why ? !!! Luckily I have a P4E 3.2 as failsafe, which has been up now for more than 74 days without any god damn problem. For Real I'm not even thinking of going back.
PS: The failsafe is running on FreeBSD 5.2.1 though with Linux Binary Compatibility...
