I actually saw (probably a kinescope of) that episode. She said "...I call it the TARDIS...". The first time I recall hearing "Time And Relative Dimensions in Space" was from the "lips" of K9.

Well, it is worth noting that there are other folks before Gaiman, but Gaiman's piece is excellent. As regular readers know, I've been a huge fan/proponent of Neil's work and having meet him a couple years back and exchanged some e-mail over the years it's good to see him getting the recognition he deserves. Watching this video also made me think of some other unusual pairings; I'm thinking Katie Couric doing an interview with Stephen Hawking should happen.

And that's appropriate for a Community College, where daytime-only students are supposed to be using the machines for schoolwork. At a four-year university, it's appropriate to allow everything, as students actually LIVE THERE. The uni in question is just being cheap about their bandwidth bill.

Combine that with energy efficiency, price advantage and the fact that the laser TVs will be half the weight and depth of plasma TVS, and Mr Pelaprat says "plasma is now something of the past".
You're just a cynic. Obviously this isn't hype.
