Isn't apple basically mid release cycle on the current gen iPhone? I know, if I was considering getting an iPhone, I would probably just wait until the next version came out.
"Without looking too deeply into the design of this lamp, I'm assuming that the weights take hours to drop, something like a grandfather clock's. A lot more energy would be absorbed than if the weights dropped freefall."
But even after assuming:
100% of the energy is captured from weights drop
100% of captured energy is converted to light in a theoretically light source
There is no way the calculation works out to achieve 600-800 lumens.
I was told that if you know what "masakatsu agatsu" mean you know the truth and rather than learning Japanese and translating it myself I used google. Oh well... I would have forgotten the phrase long before mastering Japanese anyway.
Great. So now it will be normal to sit slackjawed staring into space and randomly laugh, cry, flinch, or whatever.
It was bad enough when everyone and their mother got little blinking "I'm not crazy, just on the phone" earpieces and proceeded to pretend they were deranged.
Underwelming displays are not exclusive to the Air. Look at the 15in MBP for example. Any other manufacturer offers wuxga upgrades for their 15in laptops. Leopard apparently even has resolution independant control rendering.
How sweet would it be to both see most of your photo and check if it is in focus without zooming in and out? Ahh... one day someone will see the light... Until them, I guess I am getting a dell, dude.
If you were involved in radiology or cardio imaging you'd probably realize this is already being done. At the hospital I work at we have a 64 slice CT that does angiography. Does it mean we replaced all angio with the CTA (Computed Tomography Angiography)? No. There are advantages to both.
Additionally, please check your sources when you say that no dye is involved in CTA. Perhaps you were thinking of MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography) which can be done with or without.
In any case, these new tools will advance medicine but the car analogy holds. This is the 2008 model. It's newly redesigned and comes standard with XM satellite radio. Enjoy.
When I used to play ET, players would come online once and a while with aim bots. As they found out, an aim bot doesn't equate to victory or even most kills. While it helped them tremendously, poor planning, judgment, and understanding of basic objectives resulted in more of their deaths than mine.
Also, China is quite adept at performing executions. Considering every executed prisoner is one less in the headcount for next XX years, this would have a major impact.
No kidding, we have this in Minnesota right now and it works great. No problems as far as I can tell. The counting machines are on site and reject a ballot if something is wrong with it.
If states are too cheap to buy a device merely for voting, perhaps some enterprising company can make a modular machine allowing usage for scoring tests in schools and voting.
Here is the thing, why don't these nuts go after the people who test for cosmetic companies first. At least they have no excuse for testing on animals. Some of this neuro testing requires testing on animals who have had strokes/induced strokes. This is just not feasable to do on a human population. There would be no volunteers.

Is that a UL emblem I see circled on one of the 200,000 stoves being recalled due to fire hazard?
How about NinaFS?

1) Does grandma read comics?
2) Does grandma play the Wii?
Russian chat bots that convinced men not only that they were easy to score with females but needed a credit card up front.

That has to be worth some kind of reward.
I just hope it says "DOES NOT COMPUTE" when it doesn't understand something.

Changes in climate cause changes in resource access. Changes in resource access cause conflict.
Probably because there is no "observant" category.

AI / BI, matters more than you think.

"I hate these filthy neutrals Kif! With enemies you know where they stand but with neutrals? Who knows! It sickens me."
Liberals planted the CO2 to test the faithful. We need to expose this so called research for what it is. Our country was founded on...
I just did some rough calcs and it would take ~10 years of usage to make a LED bulb worth it. That's assuming both lasted the lifetimes on the box.
LED's are:
3x more efficient
last 3x longer
and cost 10x more
Dude. That thing is a small laptop not a phone.

Cause if MS is involved, you will be downloading some sort of update.
I can see it now...
Wave after wave of geriatric soldiers charging, stumbling, and wheeling to their doom.
Thats because the study compares America to developed nations.
