You know, the girl with the sledgehammer breaking that giant screen with Big Brother in it. (I wonder if they'll make a similar commercial now. Hmmmm.... )
For those who read TFA... did you notice that the Time Magazine shown in #10 has Bill Gates behind the 360 resembling the all-famous Borg image? *shudder*
In any case, I'd rather have bill gates selling a famous videogame console rather than forcing a crappy operating system down our throats.
Even if so, remember the Big Bang is only a theory. Theoretical discussion is irrelevant compared to practical methods for energy production.
My point is: Discrediting Lerner's proposed method just because he rejects the Big Bang, would be nothing more than "poisoning the well". Science cannot progress with prejudices (*cough* intelligent design *cough* ).
The only question to be asked is: "Can Lerner's fusion method be verified, and is it viable?"
The technology that would allow the FBI to monitor internet access, after a court order, "at the flip of a switch" would cost at least $450 per student.
I said you *may* think. Know to read between the lines;-) Anyway my message was directed not only at you, but also at everyone who thought the US was responsible to rule over the domain servers.
You may feel safe that YOUR "democratic" country is "responsibly ruling" over the internet. Just remember also, that your country has George W, Microsoft, SCO, the RIAA, the MPAA, the "Patriot Act" and the US Patent Office.
Of course, this puts file sharers in the same category as terrorists. File sharers at most threaten evil monopolies, while terrorists threaten the security and lives of the citizens.
And thanks to the RIAA, these two groups begin using the same encryption tactics - providing encryption tools to terrorists in the worst case, and giving a lot of false positives (i.e. file sharers instead of terrorists) in the best.
Don't we love America? (flag moves in the background while patriotic music is heard - yes, this is sarcasm)
You described demagogy. Here in Mexico City, governor wants to use polls for everything, so that the easily-manipulable people will vote in favor of whatever the government tells them. The same thing is done by Hugo Chavez. All decisions aren't taken by him, but by the uninformed / misinformed people.
A true democracy, however, is about the people choosing someone who will take the decisions, whether the people like it or not. They chose him to take responsibility for his actions.
And certainly I think that Richard Stallman would be the person I'd vote for. In any case, the experts are already deciding for us. And that's good.
That's what I meant. XUL is a platform specific (mozilla / gecko) environment. XULRunner is supposed to be a container for XUL apps, like, Flash or Java Runtime.
But XULRunner has AFAIK stalled, and no xulrunner executable has been distributed (yet).
How Microsoft is being constantly attacked by the competition right now?
DB: Oracle just launched its free database. Browsers: Firefox, Opera Office: OpenOffice.org + Google initiative muahahahaha! OS: Linux + Wine Servers: Apache Microsoft.NET: Mono
Compared to five years ago, Microsoft is now living a nightmare (No wonder Ballmer began throwing chairs and everything).

Google REALLY wants to fscking kill Microsoft! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
This is much better than a fight between gladiators. Popcorn, anyone? B-)
So what? If the government subsidizes this expenditure, are they willing to put it in?
Who cares? You'll end up paying it in taxes, anyway!

I think I speak for all of us when I say...
"Flip THIS."
In typical slashdot byline fashion: Is this the end of HDTV?
:P
If HD stands for Hard-Drive, you betcha!

Enjoy your "safety".
How long until we see www.we-surrender-the-internet-to-you.fr? By Monday?
I don't know, but I'm sure of one thing. They won't have "freedom fries" banner ads in there!
The summary alone makes me want to buy that book. Security is not about products, but about safety practices.

The AOL founder quit, too!

does that mean that the GPL is *NOT* open source? (you can see but you can't touch)?
But... I thought... GPL... open... *HEAD EXPLODES*
Then AJAX will become obsolete.
:(
But then again, it may take a while

Wow, this Sony rootkit works MUCH BETTER than I expected!
Actually I thought the original joke wasn't funny at all. Being a fan of MacGyver, i realized this would be the perfect punchline.
:)
Anyway, thanks for mentioning what I assummed to be known by everyone. Kudos to you
Research Paper Title:
How to Slow the Speed of Light Using Common Household Items.
by Angus MacGyver, Ph. D.
"1 out of 10 users prefers the Firefox web browser."
(Picture happy guy browsing the web)
"The other 9, are still having problems."
(Picture unhappy users with viruses and popups. The Firefox user just looks at them and shakes his head, smiling)
Firefox. Now with AdBlock.
To me, Linderhurst sounds like a blimp covered in flames... sounds quite appropriate for Intel right now :)

Just a thought.
Even More Expensive: Aero Goods.
You tell me! The price tag on the Nike Air was atmospheric, but something kept telling me to "just do it".
The fact that most of the posters actually fell for this joke?
